“Bettaliving - bitterly disappointing service”

The sales team were brilliant! They came round listened carefully to what we wanted, produced a perfect design - even helping us choose complimentary appliances. We found the perfect kitchen design, door colour and worktop. We even agreed the price straight away because we were so pleased and excited. The problem began with the survey. “Shocking Installation and Very Poor Customer Service”

Betta living started my kitchen back in October and I am still waiting for it to be completed. before you waste your money with these people check lots of reviews, bedrooms seem ok but they are very poor at Kitchens. We had 3 non English speaking fitters throw our kitchen together in one and half days, with may problems outstanding, hood not level nor centre of cupboards, wonky handles, gaps in cupboards backs, damaged plinths, dishwasher not secured (fell out on me). Bettaliving have managed to ruin not only my life but my son's life too. We both are without a bathroom since November. Poor workmanship lead to my son's lounge flooded with a damage in excess of £2,500 since 26th December and still not addressed leaving my son exposed to health issues as the house is stinking from wet carpet. My sympathy is with you I encountered the same problem when Betta living fitted my what was promised a dream bathroom , it's been a bathroom from hell they flooded my kitchen ceiling water pouring from the bathroom up above , I have had to have a full new kitchen ceiling because of this , Betta living and there fitters denied responsibility little did they know it was picked up on my home cctv with the fitters trying to bodge it up and catching the water in buckets I've had many more problems with this company now my toilet doesn't flush and shower is freezing cold I have just had enough of this company the bathroom is less than one year old and every think is falling apart cheap cheap quality with un professional fitters and a company with no customer care what so ever I'm no in the process of sending my recording and photos to watch dog and the national press I have just had enough !!!!!!!

We had our bathroom done and we were sold on the idea of a wetroom and were convinced by Ahmed the sales guy that they were the best company to let do our bathroom. My thoughts are with you i had the same problem , a wet room bathroom from hell was fitted in my home with also a flooded kitchen ceiling from the bathroom above this company do not care at all once they have got your money £11,500 I paid what was promised a dream bathroom but unfortunately I was totally ripped off. I've got on going problems with shower running cold and a toilet that doesn't flush I'm in the process of contacting watch dog and the national press , so my advice to any one stay clear of this company !!!!!!!

So much better than sharpes and I should know I had them, the staff answering the phone, the designer and surveyor brilliant, so dam helpful, what a great team, they all talk you through everything. Having done the rounds I soon discovered there's a bad apple in most kitchen brands/companies and fitters. Sad to say this but my choice ended up with who had the least amount of complaints. I must say the worst experience was Betta Living. A chap called round and spent 4 hours designing, talking and trying to sell their kitchen. I paid to have a kitchen installed from Betta Living and I also paid an additional £197 for them to skim the wall before installing the kitchen as it was short notice and I couldn't get a tradesman in before they wanted to fit it. The kitchen was installed without the walls being skimmed as fitters say "the company does not have any plasterers". Why then did they let me pay £197 for this? 5 stars to our installers they were fast, efficient and professional, job completed in two days and they installed our dream kitchen. 0 stars for head office no promised call backs were made unless it was to demand payments when they had already been paid 2 week before. “Didn't bother to turn up for the appointment”

We were contacted by 'Next Kitchens' as we had previously shown interest in their website. An appointment was made and we were told we would get a confirmation phone call 24 hours before. This didn't happen, but we still were at home waiting. The time of the appointment came and went, and no-one turned up. I had a terrible experience today with Betta Living. I was visited by a pushy sales representative who gave me a quote which was way over my budget, and was pushing hard for me to sign today. Update:

After contacting customer services and complaining about the designer, I was called back within the hour by a regional sales manager. He was keen to hear about what had happened directly, as the designer I had complained about was one of his direct reports. He apologised on behalf of the company and was keen to stress that this was not the experience they wanted for their customers.

He had a kind and sincere manner which made me feel more at ease. I'm happy to say that I have had a much more positive experience of the company since dealing with him, and I have been assured that the individual designer that I had complained about had been dealt with. Although it would not be appropriate to post the full details, I was happy that a suitable course of action had been taken.

I felt like my concerns had been treated seriously, and after a few conversations I felt comfortable to trust the company to install my bedroom furniture. As a good will gesture, the company ensured I was able to get the bedroom I wanted within budget.

I am happy to say that I believe my initial experience was a one-off and that it was not representative of my subsequent experiences. I will reserve full judgement until the wardrobes are in, but I will then post a further update. If my recent experiences are anything to go by then I am expecting it to be a positive one.

Thank you Bettaliving for taking the time and effort to make amends, and I'm looking forward to my new lovely bedroom furniture.
