“Insurance replacement”

My son was assaulted and his bike stolen. The insurance company passed the claim over to Wheelies. They were very helpful as my sons bike was not an off the shelf bike. They allowed us to spec all the components for the replacement. After 2 months my son has finally got all the parts. Communication is far too slow once the initial order is made and then constantly being told they can no longer get the parts you ordered. “MTB shorts”

Check it's in stock before you order or wait some months for your stuff I'm Still waiting for my shorts to arrive.... 1 month on at least Personally in the month I have been waiting I have had several orders received from chain reaction, wiggle and Mc Convoys etc (all good) Personally I won't be coming back but you kind of expect people to be the same and there are others far better at it and quicker. it all started off so well but once they had my order it went down hill i had to chase them up, some staff had no idea what parts were what, i had to contact my insurance company to obtain the items seperatly as they said they would not post them due to the cost even though i offered to pay and i payed for next day delivary which i did not recieve and on ringing up they stated they had already refunded me just forgot to update me. i would never use this company again out of choice… Read Full Review

“Poor quality replacement parts”

Insurance claim repair required a few replacement parts. When my bike was returned the pedals were missing and the chain guard had been replaced with a very poor quality replacement (the original had not been damaged in the accident & I'm at a loss as to why it was replaced). Reported missing pedals - expecting originals to be returned, but new, low quality ones were sent. Also now noticed the plastic cover for the handle bar screws is missing. “Learn how to set up a bike it is NOT HARD”

Customer service was average but you do tend to get to many communications. Bike arrived Scott x40 sportster wondered why foot was catching front wheel when turning corners REASON The front forks had been fitted the wrong way round!! Computer on bike set up but not working now have to go through hassle of sending back & waiting for replacement. I cannot recommend Wheelies because of poor customer service. My order was made, but then they forgot to process the paper work. Phone calls were needed as they don't reply to emails. Three weeks on, and I still haven't received my order, despite their promises that the order was despatched. Careless and disorganised. “absolute nightmare service and stock levels”

Trying to replace my bikes through wheelies was an unpleasant experience. Nothing was in stock and customer service was poor and impatient. The wwebsite does not give you details about stock with most items being out of stock. We got there in the end but we are wrose off than before stolen. Order my wife a bike from wheelies, agree with many other reviews here - customer service is non existent, all you get is an acknowledgement of your order, then nothing until it turns up with TNT. I had to order via this company as my employer is operating the Cycle To Work scheme through Wheelies.
