Ordered a bike that showed in stock and stated dispatched within 2-5 days. Did not hear a thing so on the fifth day I contacted them only to be told the bike I ordered was not even in the country and would not be delivered for another six weeks!! I have a charity ride to complete in a couple of weeks so have now got to source another bike quickly. I stated this to the sales manager and he said they could possibly look at a replacement. Terrible customer service, had issues with a bike, it was not the same as I asked for when I purchased in over the phone, when I tried to get a refund it was a nightmare dealing with them, I was even disconnected mid way in explaining to them my dispute. “Insurance rip off”

My bike was insured through my home contents insurance and I was forced to deal with Wheelies when it was stolen. Unfortunately my bike was worth around £700 but only insured up to the value of £350, so naturally I wanted a cash settlement to put towards a second hand bike of a similar quality. “Absolute joke”

Basically bike was damaged on arrival. After numerous calls and emails I received the the part for the bike however turns out this wasn't the correct part and then this went on for a further 2 parts. After speaking to a 'team leader' I was given compensation (£50) to spend at wheelies. “Avoid these clowns!”

My insurrance put me on to this lot after crashing my bike. I was told I could have cash - 20% or use them. I tried them, as I didn't live far away I asked them if could take the bike in and speed things up. They didn't bother to return any calls and emails. “Fail to uphold DSRs”

I wished to return faulty goods. They offered a free return via Collect Plus, where I have to take my goods to a Collect Plus point - the nearest is 8 miles away from my home. The goods were shipped to my home so I requested a home collection, especially since I am at home in bed with pneumonia. Under clause 3.60 of DSRs, I am only required to make the goods available for collection. Payment was taken from card and told item was dispatched. Then told item would be delayed... then told item was out of stock and manufacturer could not supply. Bike needed servicing. Took it to wheelies....problem not fixed but still charged. Took it to another shop....problem fixed and for less £££ Went back to Wheelies to get my money back...They treated me like I was an idiot (OK, i dont know much about bikes....but I do know about customer service and retail) and refused me a refund for their poor work. “Time-consuming insurance claim processing - Not...”

I just spent 55 minutes on the phone to repeat my order line by line, after we had already sent it by email to our wheelies contact, 10 days ago. This is not acceptable. The delivery service that is used is the cheap option. All day delivery Monday to Friday which is no good if you work full time. The cost of the bikes are similar to other stores/shops but there is limited choice. For instance you may want to buy the last year model to save some money but the option is not there even though other stores do sell them. I needed to return a faulty item. This was made incredibly difficult and just returning it took about 10 emails back and forth. I was given wrong information because the customer service people didn't know their business. I have claustrophobia, so a bike is absolutely essential for me in avoiding London public transport. So having my bike stolen recently was particularly hard. My bike was damaged due to fall and being insured by Legal and General I had to deal with wheelies. Their customer service is poor and dont reply to calls..they also dont update you on issues with stock parts. The parts ordering system is poor and takes ages..for example 3 weeks at least for a bottom bracket!
