The delivery service that is used is the cheap option. All day delivery Monday to Friday which is no good if you work full time. The cost of the bikes are similar to other stores/shops but there is limited choice. For instance you may want to buy the last year model to save some money but the option is not there even though other stores do sell them. “difficult to deal with”

I needed to return a faulty item. This was made incredibly difficult and just returning it took about 10 emails back and forth. I was given wrong information because the customer service people didn't know their business. They also had no basic understanding of consumer law as despite the item being faulty, told me they wouldn't refund me until the manufacturer had examined the product. “Appalling Customer Service”

I have claustrophobia, so a bike is absolutely essential for me in avoiding London public transport. So having my bike stolen recently was particularly hard. For the replacement I've been forced to use Wheelies due to my Insurance policy. Their customer service staff have been rude and unhelpful twice in two days. My bike was damaged due to fall and being insured by Legal and General I had to deal with wheelies. Their customer service is poor and dont reply to calls..they also dont update you on issues with stock parts. The parts ordering system is poor and takes ages..for example 3 weeks at least for a bottom bracket! “Avoid if possible”

Had to use them for an insurance claim. They have been one of the most irresponsible companies i have ever dealt with. The first call to them was ok but once you're passed to customer services it's all down hill. My new bike arrived with missing parts, buckled wheels and a twisted suspension fork. They were unable to source the missing parts so my insurance company paid for another bike shop to source them. All of this has taken over a month. Wheelies have got it made - providing bike replacement to insurance clients. You end up with no choice but having to put up with the terrible service provided when the insurance company pass you over to Wheelies. Having recently had my bike stolen I was referred to Wheelies. Initially all seemed to go well having chosen the bike and accessories. I was assured would be in stock in 3 working days and they would ring me. Seems they forgot how to use the phone and were full of broken promises. “Shocking attention to detail and faulty products”

I recently purchased a bike, lights, helmet and bell from Wheelies as part of the cycle to work scheme. The helmet is fine, however Wheelies sent the wrong colour bike, a bell that didn't fit the handlebars and a faulty rear light. Shipped one cheaper component when I ordered two more expensive components: After two calls they admitted mistake, but still didn't send the correct items. Turns out they were waiting for me to send the incorrect item back via some 3rd party return service, which they did not make clear to me. Wheelies staff cannot be helpful enough when it comes to taking your insurance companies money for a replacement bike, but when that bike fails and is not fit for purpose they take no responsibility whatsoever and merely act as a postbox between customer and manufacturer. Was forced to use this 'bike shop' by my insurer to replace my beloved Galaxy. Having taken 2 months to source a suitable bike in the correct size (their website does not reflect the real stock that they carry) they left off the front carrier, broke the rear one and then failed to respond to email or phone messages (you can only ever get through to a bored receptionist whose accent is only improved by her gum habit...). 2 months after delivery - no satisfaction. I unfortunately had to deal with them as the result of an insurance claim for a stolen bike. They had a limited range of bikes at full retail price and didn't have several models and sizes shown as being available on their website. If there is a problem with the bike it has to be boxed up and sent back to them - not sure how knowledgeable they are - they suggested the pedal arm be glued on when a problem occured after 6 months and just 15 rides when the bike was still under warranty.
