it all started off so well but once they had my order it went down hill i had to chase them up, some staff had no idea what parts were what, i had to contact my insurance company to obtain the items seperatly as they said they would not post them due to the cost even though i offered to pay and i payed for next day delivary which i did not recieve and on ringing up they stated they had already refunded me just forgot to update me. i would never use this company again out of choice… Read Full Review

“Poor quality replacement parts”

Insurance claim repair required a few replacement parts. When my bike was returned the pedals were missing and the chain guard had been replaced with a very poor quality replacement (the original had not been damaged in the accident & I'm at a loss as to why it was replaced). Reported missing pedals - expecting originals to be returned, but new, low quality ones were sent. Also now noticed the plastic cover for the handle bar screws is missing. I was provided with a bike following an insurance claim. The Wheelies staff were all extremely helpful and I had no problems whatsoever throughout most of the process. My two concerns relate to the actual delivery of the bike itself (a Giant Roam 0). The delivery service that is used is the cheap option. All day delivery Monday to Friday which is no good if you work full time. The cost of the bikes are similar to other stores/shops but there is limited choice. For instance you may want to buy the last year model to save some money but the option is not there even though other stores do sell them. “difficult to deal with”

I needed to return a faulty item. This was made incredibly difficult and just returning it took about 10 emails back and forth. I was given wrong information because the customer service people didn't know their business. They also had no basic understanding of consumer law as despite the item being faulty, told me they wouldn't refund me until the manufacturer had examined the product. I have claustrophobia, so a bike is absolutely essential for me in avoiding London public transport. So having my bike stolen recently was particularly hard. For the replacement I've been forced to use Wheelies due to my Insurance policy. Their customer service staff have been rude and unhelpful twice in two days. Struggled to start when I first co tagged them as they couldn't get my child's bike to me for two months. Then I spoke to a gent who really knew his bikes, he was brilliant and really sorted my order out. I changed my choice of bike and my lads bike. “Learn how to set up a bike it is NOT HARD”

Customer service was average but you do tend to get to many communications. Bike arrived Scott x40 sportster wondered why foot was catching front wheel when turning corners REASON The front forks had been fitted the wrong way round!! Computer on bike set up but not working now have to go through hassle of sending back & waiting for replacement. After having my bike stolen my insurance company passed me on to wheelies direct to deal with the claim. I found the staff to be very friendly and they dealt with my claim very efficiently, getting the bike I wanted out to me within a week. My bike was damaged due to fall and being insured by Legal and General I had to deal with wheelies. Their customer service is poor and dont reply to calls..they also dont update you on issues with stock parts. The parts ordering system is poor and takes ages..for example 3 weeks at least for a bottom bracket! I have now raised a formal complaint regarding poor service..they are quite happy to take your excess..but getting your bike back is another story. Steer clear at all costs… Read Full Review
