They're returns and charges policy is ridiculous. After returning unsuitable items immediately, I was hit with a £66.12 bill for not accounting for the £3.95 postal charge. Now, I expect some penalisation for the unaccounted fee, however over 17 times the cost of delivery is totally unacceptable. Was looking to buy a new laptop so went with Very's Buy now Pay later scheme, thought this was sensible because i could of brought it straight away but why not make it easier to pay for in the for long term? 1 month later i get a overdue bill,extra £12 charge. I have had a similar experience, I ordered items before going away but returned them as they were all unsuitable as they did not match the description provided. Shopping with Very is beyond frustrating. I have put off buying from the site previously simply because the website is so incredibly slow. I wish I didn’t like some items so much that I actually attempted to order some goods. You have to select a delivery date and time for each item (where is the tick box to say you want all your items delivered to the same place?) It would not accept my Flat OR work address. If this is a new account then no alternative address will be accepted at checkout other than the account address for security reasons until we have built up a shopping history with yourself.
Some orders can be re-directed depending on the security of your account; however, if the re-direct has been accepted at our end, it is dependent on whether the depot can re-direct it. Some parcels go to a local courier who only delivers items in his/hers area within a 2 mile radius, so if the alternative address id outside his/hers area then this is not possible.
We don't contact customers regarding their delivery unless there is an issue that the depot have advised us of as we give the facility for customers to track their orders via their online account.

I however do not feel that it answer's some of the issues. I would also like to add that right now I am so unbelievably disappointed with Very.
I have spoken to customer services TWICE now and twice I have given a new address and twice these addresses have not been passed on to Yodel. I understand that the first new address I provided was in a completely different area - but Chertsey must receive parcels? I was NOT told on the phone by CS that this was not possible, I was just left to believe that this new address was ok and that my parcel would be delivered there. I then speak to customer services and provide them with another address which is 2 minutes walk from my home address so therefore I know that it is within the allotted area for the courier to deliver to.
Today I notice that my package has not been delivered to a new address because the courier is having trouble finding the address. I ring Very again who are no help whats so ever! They tell me to call Yodel. I call Yodel and they have not been informed about this new address (or the previous new address). What is wrong with Very????? Absolutely shocking service!!!! I have had to email Yodel this new address as I cannot give it to them over the phone, the only way they can get a new address is via email or from Very…..VERY DIDN’T DO THIS! Maybe it will be 4th time lucky now that I have sent them a new address via email. Right now I am just amazed at how awful this transaction has been. I have written reviews on other sites and I will definitely reply to my own reviews with this update. I know Very will do absolutely nothing to amend this massive disappointment so I may as well make others aware.

We're sorry that your dryer has a fault.
We do have to wait for the item to be received into our returns centre and once this has been scanned to your account then a refund will be raised. The 28 days that we advise is only a guideline and we do find that the items are credited quicker than this, however, it is a guideline that we have to advise.
It sounds like you have a cash only account and as you have advised that you paid in cash. We are unable to re-order another dryer without payment as the way these accounts are set up means an order will only be accepted once payment has been made at the time of order.

I would recommended that you stay clear of this company. They make mistakes with orders, duplicate orders. If you unpack an order and tear the security tape they state that the will not accept returns, so you can't look at the product before making a decision. Sorry, but this IS entirely typical of your companies incompetent customer service.
You cancel the wrong orders, fail to deliver on time, voucher codes fail to work, do not deal with account enquiries in a timely fashion, if at all! And many times do not even seem to understand what your customers are even asking you!! (I have worded that so it is easy to understand for you) This all causes unneccasary, and lengthy disjointed communications, an emmense cost, of time, patience, and money to your customers and even greater frustration. It therefore would only come as a complete shock to the most benighted individual that your customer service performance at very.co.uk all but completely diminishes any confidence that customers have in you!
Btw, I recently had some items that i ordered that were NOT in the package VERY sent me. I had to reorder, the price the next day had increased. Now 2 weeks later, i still havent :
a) Had my enquiry dealt with by the 'specialist dept'
b) Had my account credited for the missing items
c) Had an acknowledgement or credit, for the increased price i had to pay
I have been with very for a couple of years now. Their system is pretty good, but the customer service is extremely inefficient and primitive and has NOT improved.

your not sorry, if you were this would of been sorted ages ago! all i got was im sorry, rubbish! after numerous phone calls and emails you where not and did not want to help.Your collegues have about one brain cell between them, was like talking to a brick wall, no customer service skills what so ever, going round in circles, was told lies just to get off the phone, even 1 lady said we are crediting you now as we speak, i said your not just saying that to get me off the phone, she said no, guess what, that was not true, again another guy said he would add onto my notes that my mum wouls speak on my behalf as being pregnant and following a mis miscarrage i was getting so stressed out she needed to take over, guess what he didn't, just lie after lie after lie, your company is aload of poo, dont make anymore excuses, im not interested in anything you have to say anymore.All these people who have written a good review about you obviously havn't come across a problem with you YET and beleive me they will.I used to give good comments but me like the others have now expeirenced appauling service not once but twice now so i would advise you to sort out your c/service people like proper training and give your specialist team a good kick up the backside..have no more time for your company, its draining me.

Please do not order anything from this company, they are unprofessional and unhelpful. It started with me trying to order some matching bedroom furniture, which they wouldn't accept payment for saying that the card address didn't match the billing address (tried with 4 different cards, from 2 banks). After numerous (expensive) calls with both banks who confirmed there was nothing wrong with my card and the payment has been released. I even received a release code from one of the banks.... Nightmare. Ordered a computer 6 weeks ago because of next day delivery. NEVER GOT IT. 6 WEEKS LATER, still don't have it. I was told by customer service that they can not control the delivery or the refund. That it's all down to the warehouse and there is nothing Very can do.

This is exactly what VERY are trying to palm me off with on my order which they have continually delayed the delivery date.
I stayed in for deliveries that never arrived. I got fed up, I cancelled the order. VERY took the payment so it is they that should refund immediately on a cancellation. Now they are being vague concerning my refund and talking about the ''carrier'' and ''supplier''. They are not specific ...just vague..that is what their ''customer service'' is programed to do.
This company really need to come with a Government health warning. Trading standards was set up to deal with unethical practices such as this...
They have lost any future business from myself and my family,and I will warn others.
This is no way to run a business...time will be their judge.

am pleased to report that she is a miracle worker. i had my refund within 1 hour of emailing her.

Poor customer service, Misleading Warranty, Invoice Was Not Provided I have purchased a HP laptop paid in full and not have a finance account with very. I have been using Very for about a year. Yes their interest rate is high, but this is made clear when you take out an account so you cant really complain about that. I only use it for buy now pay later so never pay interest on anything I buy from them anyway, so there are ways around the high interest rates. Their customer service is pretty appalling. All orders placed with us incur a delivery charge unless the order qualified for Collect+.
When you received your statement, the £3.95 delivery charge will have been shown on this and a payment will have been requested. Buy Now Pay Later is an offer and all Financial Services products, delivery and installation charges are excluded from this offer and the charges are statemented on the next available statement. This is outlined in our Terms and Conditions.

What if the order is placed over the phone and no mention is made of the collect+ delivery. Very would be quick enough to apologise which doesn't cost them the price of a call either as its the customer who calls and they make £3.95 of the customer. If as an estimate Ver get even 10,000 phone orders where delivery charges are not mentioned Very makes £40,000 - a tidy little sum considering all mail and parcels will be franked.

Do not go near this Company. I ordered two dresses to be picked up from my local pick up point a few miles away. When I got there, a petrol station, they had problems with their machine so would not hand the parcel over stating could I go back at 8pm when the Manager was there. Our terms and conditions are displayed on our website. Statements are produced every 28 days with a payment requested 20 days after this date. Failure to make the requested minimum payment will incur an administration fee. We do clearly advise that Buy Now Pay Later items must be paid, in full, before the charge date (which is indicated on each statement) otherwise they will be charged to your account along with the deferred interest.

I've shoped with various catologues and 'Very' are diabolical: 1. charged for items I never received and then they can't trace back 'more than a month' 2. No repsonse to letters of complaint 3. We do clearly state on the Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) section of our website that additional charges such as delivery or installation are excluded from the BNPL promotion.

I paid the delivery charge within 30 days of the payment date. You cannot put a mark on my credit file till after 30 days but very had already put this against me. I find it very harsh that i have to view my credit file to see i owe very a poxy 6.95!!! I have opted in for paper statements customers service are aware of this but claim they do not have a care in the world if these get to me or not!!! Very could of made a simple phone call to make me aware monnies were owed but would rather punish me for something small that i was completely un aware of in a discusting and unproffessional manner. Also no one at very can answer my question of whether they thought this was a harsh to do this to me over a delivery charge which could easily have been paid and i have not been recieving paper statement and that no effort to inform me was made. If i email you can you promise to be more help than your other heartless staff??? I want to apply for a mortgage this year and this is going to affect my chances. If items had been returned to us but not credited from your account before production of your statement then a minimum payment would be requested. If no payment is received then your next statement would incur a £12.00 administration fee. It appears that a number of statements have been produced for the bill to total £66.12.
