“a scam - avoid”

Ordered but still not delivered after 7 weeks despite phoning and emailing.Website now gone and phone dead except for the answerphone message. Am now pursuing a refund through my credit card company. Thank goodness I did not spend a great deal.

As if people with a new baby have got loads of spare cash, they can afford to just throw it away. ^Aimee^ said they'd resend my item - it never arrived, I can't get through to them on the phone and they no longer reply to emails.

This was my experience too. I ordered a product which never arrived. They promised to resend it several times but nothing ever came. They then stopped answering the phone. I since found out that the telephone number is actually a money making number so they got even more money off me that way. My email was also not replied to and the matter is now in the hands of my credit card company. I will never use this company again. I wish I had found this site before i ordered. I hope other people heed the advice and avoid this company.

How awful, I also didn't check out reviews until AFTER ordering. But please please - contact your bank - even if you didn't pay with credit card, they can get the payment back for you. If an item is not delivered within a certain number of days there is a window for them to retrieve your money. I will also be advising Google, Trading Standards etc as this is so amazing in this day in age this company has managed to get away with this !

Further to the numerous posts which detail previous incdidents where they have ordered from this website and failed to receive goods or a refund, I too have to add mine. Thankfully I only ordered an item of fairly low value (£20) but am now having to pursue this through my credit card. Item wasn't delivered. When I emailed I was provided a Royal mail tracking number, which Royal Mail informed me was fake when I contacted them. Emailed on a number of occasions asking for a refund and kept getting responses that it would take a few days. Now having to pursue it through my credit card. Please, DO NOT order from this site.

“No refund received despite told I would receive one”

Ordered a rocking animal, website said was in stock, paid for it, few days later received email stating they could not get hold of it and I would be refunded. Nothing happened so contacted Aimee who said I should receive a refund in the next 2 weeks. Again nothing. Emailed again but now no response Avoid at all costs unless you like throwing money away.

“Con artists”

Do not order from this company, I ordered a couple of items from them and have had to contact my bank to get my card refunded, they will say any thing to string you along, do not trust any thing they say. I am going to contact trading standards, I have no idea how this company are still up and running.

“non delivery of goods & disgraceful service”

order goods totaling over £309, stated on website that it was free delivery. i was contacted by the elusive Amie by email 2 days later asking for another £20 for delivery to Ireland, i replied by email stating that i did not live in Ireland but Northern Ireland which was part of Great Britain. Earlier that day i also received an email explaining that my delivery had also been delayed so in the email that i replied in, i asked for conformation of the delivery date. I never received a reply so on the thursday which was 4 days after ordering i still had not received any goods or response so i tried numerous times to contact them by telephone but just got a message service asking me to call back later. I tried again the following day & it took over 30 attempts to finally get put into a queue, & 20 mins holding before speaking to an advisor. She told me after checking, that my order has been dispatched the day prior & would be with me by Tuesday of the following wk. So 8 days after ordering i waited in all day & surprise surprise no delivery. Again i called, waiting for over 20mins to get through & on connection the call was promtly hung, so i called again, same thing. Frustrated i emailed not expecting a reply but did receive 1 explaining the order would be cancelled & money refunded in 2-6 days & a manager would call the following day at 9am. Guess what?? No call & i am still have not received my refund!!! I would not use Babyshop.co.uk ever. Their customer service is disgusting, & do nothing but lie to their customers.

Yeah! the same with me! I didnt recieve my delivery two times when they sad that have been dispatched but nothing! I asked for refund and they told me the refund issued and it will take 2-6 working days! Now have been 1 moth past and nothing! tried to call many times and no answers! the same with email!

“Thieves is more appropriate”

I really wish I had read reviews on this company before purchasing a stroller for over £107 way back in April. I was emailed the following day to say there was a delay and stock was due the end of the month which I collude wait for or receive a full refund. I agreed to wait as it was only two weeks. I contacted them again at the beginning of may to be told in an email by Aimee that stock was on its way and I would be emailed as soon as it was shipped. Shipping email was sent on 16th may, left it a total of two weeks, still no stroller. Ontacted them again to be told there had been a mix up and I was to receive a full refund back onto my credit card, which should clear within 5 days, 10 days later still no refund so contacted them again, and was given a date funds would clear. Surprise surprise they didn't. Contacted them again and was told I could have a cheque sent instead. Agreed to that and the lovely Aimee once again assured me she would let the accounts team know and have it sent out the following day. A week later No cheque. This time I rang and got no answer. Tried emailing again, no response. Rang again the following week, spoke to AIMEE who again said she would get it sent out that day and I would have it Saturday morning, or Monday at the latest. It is now Thursday and yes you have guessed it no refund. These people seem to take your money with no stock or intention of refunds. They are a disgrace and need reporting. I am now looking into doing this. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE!!!!!!

“RIP-OFF MERCHANTS”

Yes, I too, wish I'd read this before I'd ordered a car seat. I can't believe they have not been arrested for fraud yet. They took my payment on 8 June, gave me a delivery date, changed it at the last minute to the following week, then of course nothing arrived. Email from Aimee said she'd look into it then get back to me but she didn't. So I emailed asking for a refund, to which she replied it would be back on my credit card account within 2-6 days. That was 2 weeks ago, and I am still waiting. Cant get through to her by phone, and she doesn't answer my emails now. Hopefully Barclaycard will be able to help...

I made my order in june and now, one month later, I haven't resaved any goods or get my money back. I have tried to contact the company by email and phone without any response. PLEASE DO NOT USE!!! Like other people on here I wish I'd seen these reviews before ordering. Me and my wife are expecting our baby any day now and so started buying things early. I ordered a car seat and baby bouncer from babyshop.co.uk in April it's now nearly July and I still haven't received any refund (almost £85) also don't contact by phone you will be put on hold for an age. it's cost me £15 in calls and still no resolution. I am now going to use a small claims court to reclaim all monies lost. PLEASE DO NOT USE!!!

PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BE TEMPTED TO ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE. I only wish I'd seen these reviews before handing my money over to some scammers :.( . I ordered my Obaby Zezu pram on the 1/03/2012. Money taken straight away and am now thinking that they should have emailed me saying "NOW KISS YOUR MONEY GOODBYE". Of course they didn't do such thing, but might as well as. Anyway I have no pram and I've contacted them and they said it'll be with you Saturday 17/03/20112. No such thing happened and called them on the Tuesday. They said we're waiting for reply from courier to get back to them and they will call me back. No such thing happened. I called them and couldn't get to them as there phone message was saying they were closed. It was Wednesday. I asked for a refund. They said if the pram turns up to refuse it. I got email saying my account has been updated to refunded, but after leaving it for 8 days I have no money back. contacted them AGAIN it will be in my account Thursday 29/03/2012. No such thing has happened. Rung them on Friday and message saying there closed. Have emailed this time and nothing. I will be going down there on Monday.

“DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!!!”

I ordered a pushchair from babyshop.co.uk but changed my mind within 24 hours as it didn't have exactly what I wanted when I looked closer. Statement on website does say entitled to change my mind with 7 days do emailed and cancelled and they said no problem. Then the next day got an email saying the pushchair would be delayed but would get a complimentary gift once sent so emailed back to remind them I had already cancelled. Refund never showed up on my credit card so after a couple of emails they then said would send a cheque. 2 months later after many emails I finally received a cheque only for it to bounce!! 'Amiee', as mentioned in previous reviews never seemed bothered and just kept saying they would reissue cheque which had obviously never been issued in the first place! I believe that the so called good reviews on this site have been written by this company but please do not even consider anything from this company - they will take your money and give you nothing for it. Our fight for a refund now continues!

DON'T TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE!Ordered a pushchair from this company in Mid November - only to be told 3 days later it was out of stock yet money had already been taken. After numerous false promises regarding delivery in Mid December I told them to cancel the order and refund the money. After chasing this refund numerous times and it not appearing, I am now going to put this in the hands of Trading standards. Also do not believe them when they promise to ring you back...they never do! Do not order from this company.

“This is a scam ”

We ordered a pram for £130 in May 2011 which was never delivered. Numerous attempts to call were never answered. They replied to a couple of emails (erratically) and agreed to provide a refund which never came. We visited the address on their website, we think it is very unlikely that they are trading from there. It looked abandoned and a neighbouring farmer said that no one had been there for months. We contacted the trading standards authority who instructed us to send a registered letter, which we did. Still no response. We then handed the issue over to the TSA who contacted the merchant directly. Eventually in February 2012 we finally received a refund. We recommend that you avoid doing business with this company.There are lots of similar experiences documented here and elsewhere on the internet, including many people who do not have the knowledge, ability or energy to pursue this to conclusion. The same woman also runs a number of similar companies (Aimeesboutique.com; Weddingshop.co.uk) which have a similiar catalogue of complaints. We strongly recommend that you DO NOT ORDER FROM ANY OF THESE COMPANIES

“Poor communication and appalling customer service”

I would urge you to avoid this company if you value customer service and your statutory rights. Purchased a £12 parasol through them which broke within weeks of purchase. Roy (I assume the company director or manager) initially refused to refund me stating that this was because it was not 'a manufacturing fault'. I had to point out his legal obligations under the Sale of Goods Act, contact with Consumer Direct and threats of legal action before he agreed the refund. Even then he blamed a colleague, insinuated that I had broken the parasol deliberately (because I have nothing better to do than waste my time seeking a refund for £12)and accused me of failing to follow their badly written 'terms and conditions' which I can prove I had. This is a poorly run company with a terrible attitude to both staff and customers. I will not use them again.
