“Bad experience with this company! ”

Written on: 02/05/2014 by Goodmanxp183 (1 review written)

Moneyforyourphone offered the best price for my old but still working iPhone 4s; £18 isn't winning the lottery but better than nothing so I duly sent it in, only to be emailed with a revised offer of £2. This claimed there was a 'deep scratch' and ruptured battery - strange when it was working perfectly before I sent it. I rejected the offer only to have it upped to £4. When I rejected this too it was sent back minus the protective cover and prised apart - in no condition to try with an… Read Full Review

Everything needs to be faster. I sent my phone next working day delivery. So once it reached, it took a few days for them to notify me they had the phone. Once that had happened it took nearly 2 weeks for me to receive my money. The only thing i was 100% happy with, was the price I was offered… Read Full Review

“Found a few 'faults'”

Written on: 25/09/2013

The site itself is very easy to use with a nice interface. They also quoted me the best price for my iPhone 4 (£135) so I decided to go ahead. My phone being 2 years old had very minor signs of wear and tear but nothing too drastic and everything else worked fine. However, a week after receiving my phone I get an email notifying me that I had a revised offer because of 'numerous' and 'severe' scratches and a broken loudspeaker?? Erm, not quite, why are you point blank lying? So my £135… Read Full Review

I sent in a phone that was in good order, screen and case included. I wrapped in in bubble wrap and sent it in the bag provided, by Special Delivery. I was offered £115 for my Samsung Galaxy II The report came back that the phone's screen was scratched and that the case was cracked - all of which was not so when I dispatched it. The new offer was for £60. Since I could not speak to anybody or send them an email, I accepted their offer because I had already spent £6.50 to send the phone to… Read Full Review

I selected money for your phone as they offered the best price for my iPhone. However it took longer than expected for the envelope to turn up. Then, on receiving my iPhone they decreased the offer to £90. I rejected the offer. They counter offered £105. Again I rejected. They then offered me the original amount of £132. Which I begrudgingly accepted. Payment then took a further 7 days. Overall not the quickest transaction and they do make cheeky revised offers on receiving the phone… Read Full Review

“Shame you have to pay postage to send your phone in”

Written on: 12/09/2013

Money was paid out quite quick with MFYP but it's not really good value to exchange your phone with this company as you have to pay to send it to them yourself whereas all the other companies i have dealt with either send you a freepost bag to send your phone in or a prepaid label you can print yourself. This obviously meant that the phone was worth a lot less than i had hoped when you weigh up the postage costs. I would not consider using them again solely for this reason… Read Full Review

“money mess up”

Written on: 12/05/2013

not a great experience with this company. they valued my phone alright, but kept sending duplicate emails and then had an administration error that meant having an incorrect balance on my account and an unwarranted debit of their own mistake. personally, it should have been left in my account, an apology issued to me and claiming responsibility for their payment error, left with the customer as a token of good faith. too fussy for my liking and petty to ask for a few pounds back and wasting a… Read Full Review

“price ok but why the delay”

Written on: 10/05/2013 by peteloafer (2 reviews written)

I was reasonably happy with the price you quoted for my phone. However you tested & approved my phone on 23rd April so why did you not make a payment until 3rd May? The payment did not clear until 5th May so I waited 12 days from the day you approved the phone and will not use you again. Sorry that's unacceptable… Read Full Review

“Be VERY sceptical”

Written on: 15/01/2013 by Giffolew (1 review written)

The only reason I was attracted to the site was because of the price it offered... It was £40-50 more than any other site I could find! I thought great and sent off my old iPhone via second class recorded! This was done around the 2nd December give or take a few days. I then heard nothing atall untill January 12nd when I got concerned and messaged to see if they had recieved it? The said they hadn't and asked for some details of it... I provided these and all within 5 minutes I got 3 emails… Read Full Review

I sent my phone off to Money For your Phone as they were offering the most money for that model at the time. The Phone is 6 months old and hardly used. Their website said for a working good condition HTC 7 Mozart I would get £41.00 if it wasn't working I would get an offer. I sent this recorded delivery 2 days later I was offered £17 what a joke! I sent them a reply saying that the offer was an insult and they came back and offered me £21, still only half the amount they advertise. So I have… Read Full Review
