I have stayed at Don Bigote Hotel twice, once with a large group of male and female friends, and another time with a smaller group of girls! Both times were excellent, and I have to say I'm baffled by the negative reviews I've read as its nothing like the experience I ' ve had both times I stayed! This hotel does what it says on the tin! I and Went with My Parent and The Young Scot's were very entertaining at this hotel. Food was excellent and had many different things to choose from, Room was always clean and staff was very friendly. The beach was lovely and about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. I stayed at Don Bigote Hotel for 5 nights with two friends. The hotel was perfect. the rooms were clean, the food was great, great selection every night something to suit everybody. the staff were realy lovely. we arrived early and got our room before the stated 2pm. on our last day we asked if we could keep on one of our rooms as we were not leaving untill 9pm that evening, they let us have it for a small charge. overall we had a excellent holiday and infact we are booking same for next year! We did wonder what we were getting as the hotel was classed as for 18-30s. Can only say it was clean, tidy and we had no problems with noise from people at the hotel, it would have been quieter to have a pool view room, we would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Overall ,this hotel exceeded my expectations and I'd definitely recommend it to a friend!
I was originally looking for somewhere in Magaluff itself, but this hotel was only a 3 euro taxi ride away which took about 4 minutes, or you could walk from the hotel to Magaluff in about 15 minutes.
Also, theres a cafe around the corner called Maria's and they serve the best egg and bacon rolls ever!! Wow, I'm dribbling at the thought right now!! Infact their whole menu is pretty impressive and...

We found the hotel in a great location and only a stones throw away from the beach and shops, bars etc. The rooms were small and basic but very clean with maid service and clean towels daily and beds made. I have just come back from the Don Bigote Hotel in Palma Nova. I went with one other friend. We were a bit scared, as we booked over the internet and didn't really know what to expect, but I can say I was pleasantly surprised. It's in an ideal location, as it's not that far from Magaluf. My boyfriend visited the hotel in July with a mate for 4 days and then recommend the hotel for us to go to in August for our holiday. I was a little worried after reading all the bad comments about the hotel but to be honest I couldn't fault the hotel and would definitely go back. It was as clean as any other hotel I have visited in the past. Palma Nova beach is lovely and is only about a 2 min walk from the hotel. I also found the hotel pool area clean.

The hotel was really good for groups of friends, and staff were pleasant and helpful. It was in a perfect location for the beach, shops and restaurants, and also for walking to Magaluf at night.
The rooms are quite small, and probably would be too small for a family. The pool area can get pretty busy for the amount of people in the hotel, and the food at dinner time was never labelled, so we never knew what we were eating!

I was really pleased with the hotel as it is very nice. We went in peak season and the hotel had a lot of shows on. Also its about 10mins walk to the strip or there is a range of night clubs just around the corner of the hotel. The hotel has 2 computers which had the internet. The only fault was the lifts. Palma Nova, is pretty quiet and there are quite a lot of families. Beach was always clean but watch out for the sand pests trying to sell you fruit. Don't buy anything off them because they will more than likely rob you blind. Not far from Magaluf. There is a little bar just on the corner near the hotel. This is a good place to start if you're heading up to Magaluf strip. There is a Chinese on the beach front as well, heading up towards Magaluf. Not very expensive but is the best Chinese... We all had a great time at the Done Bigote Hotel in Palma Nova, and we're planning to go back next year. It is definitely a hotel for young holiday makers and not a hotel for families. We all felt safe in the hotel, and the rooms had safes that you can get the key for at reception for €26, but you get some of that back when you return the key. And you don't have to check out of your room until 12, so you can make the most of your last night. (read more)

The rooms at the Don Bigote Hotel in Palma Nova are OK, and they are very clean. The cleaners are fantastic and friendly. Unfortunately the food was awful! We paid for half board and had to eat out as they don't cater for children. There was a fire in the hotel in the early hours of the morning, and there were no fire alarms working. If you want no sleep, banging on doors, telephone going at night, rubbish at the front entrance, bottles around and in the pool, screaming, shouting, music blaring, people playing football on landings, no control over youths who do as they please 24/7, children don't get a look in around the pool as balls are flying everywhere, and if you don't mind your children listening to their bad language all the time, THEN GO HERE.

The bar staff at the Don Bigote Hotel were very friendly, and the hotel itself is situated in a great place. Unfortunately, the cleaners were not very friendly, and the food wasn't up to much at all!
I enjoyed my holiday, however I would not stay at the Don Bigote again unless the food and staff attitude is improved.

I am only 22 and like to go out, but people were coming in at all hours screaming and shouting, and when I complained nothing was done. We would not go to the Don Bigote Hotel in Palma Nova again due to the noise factor of people slamming doors, shouting and running around the corridors. We got moved after the first night, away from stairs/lifts. One lad had his room broken into on the lower floor from the balcony. He was with a group, and they luckily caught the lad and only a couple of security chaps stopped him getting a beating.

The only thing that let it down, was the noise during the night!! It went on until the early hours, but I felt much better as I slammed my door 3 or 4 times when I went for breakfast at 9.30am. Don Bigote Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, other than one member of staff in the dining room who could be rather pushy when it came to ordering beverages. Don Bigote Hotel has to have been the best place to stay, as soon as we arrived at the reception everyone was talking to everyone, we ended up having a group of 30 going out at night aged between 16-25, the hotel was so good, they tend to put all the young ones together which was always good. Food was pretty good, good enough to help with the hang over, "big fry up" every morning. The security guard who was there back in august was great. The Don Bigote Hotel is pretty good overall, its very clean, the pool and pool area was large.
Only slight negative comments are the rooms were quite small but did the job. The food was decent but no more than that, you couldn't take advantage of the fact you were half board every night or you would sicken yourself as the food was fairly repetitive and average quality, I was there 11 nights and ate out around 6 or 7 of them.

I went to Palma Nova with my family, it's wicked! It's for everyone. If you want to chill you can go to the beach or the pool in the hotel. If you want to go out there's lots of places to see, there lots of clubs in Magaluf so its great for 16+. The hotel was very nice, and the staff was very friendly. Our safe got broken into whilst staying at Don Bigote Hotel. There was no forced entry into our rooms so watch out for maids! The hotel wouldn't even let us use the hotel phone to contact our insurance company and we had no money! They charged us 5 euros per fax to the insurance company! The staff Couldn't have cared less about our stuff which was stolen (over 2 grand, 3 mobiles, purse, and wallet) The food was awful. Last time I came it was lovely! (read more)

It's a fantastic base for going to Magaluf without being right in the middle of it all. I was concerned when we booked because it was so cheap, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Don Bigote in Palma Nova was a great hotel for anyone that is on a 18-30's, Twenties or Escapades type holiday.
If you are wanting to go away and relax and read a good book this is not the place for you.
The food was great if you like school dinners and there was a selection of 4 different dinners every evening.

Good stuff to hear that hotel sounds good, i'm off with my mate for her 21st in September and will be staying at the DB. Been to magaluf 2 years ago and it was quality!

WHAT A FANTASTIC PLACE!!
<br>I've just returned from my hen weekend and I had a fantastic time. The hotel itself is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food varied every night and there was something for every taste. When I first booked, I was concerned that as it was so cheap it would be awful but it was brilliant. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
