Darlington stables is the best riding stables in cheshire actually to be fair the best ridng school in england. It has wonderful and kind ponies including : Princess, Boe, Star, Fizz, Pepsi, Shannon (Shan) Monty, Prince, Silver, Della, Ginger, Holly, Sunny, Teddy, Milly, Jack, Smartie, Cara, Honey, Bella, Brian, Lilly, Pearl, Dancer, Belle, Cindy and all of the foals. It has the kindest dogs there, May, June, Spike, Minty and ivy and it did have chickens. No the lessons arnt over booked they have the right ammout of people in the lessons and it isnt owned by ten years olds they just happened to start to ride earlier so they have alot more exsperience and they are aloud to lead and look after the horses / ponies. Janet the riding teacher is alot of the time doing lessons and she has always been there for the horses, for their birth and for illness but they always get better but sadly not all the time the foals survive but janet is the nicest person anyone could ever meet.I have been riding at the stables for 4 1/5 years and i can almost jump the size of one table and the size of another table on top of it but a bit of the legs cut of so that is quite big. Janet gets along with all of the riders and their parents. She says that i am very load and that if i miss a lesson or go on holiday her and all the riders ( my friends )would miss me and i am not suprised because they are all so nice to eachother. All of the horses are fantastic to ride and janet can teach you how to walk, trot, canter and jump by yourself. She can teach you how to ride any of the horses if they are laid back gentle or easy going. The price of the rides are great and the full days are real good because you can ride one of your favorite horses then. It is absoloutly great there and you shouldnt listen to the bad comments or reviews even though the person has his / her own opinion they are very wrong. Janet has told me everthing i know. I dint know anything about riding until i started riding there. Janet has told me and my friend everything we know. When i arrive at the stables i always feel welcome by the people I know and we always have a good laugh. They are all so encourageing. It is my favorite place to be, i love it there.

“Best riding school in cheshire!”

Darlington stables is an amazing riding school, we have only been there for 5 years and we can jump 70 cm! All the ponies are sweet and gentle and fantastic to ride!! We love the stables and the horses especially holly and monty!! The riding instructor is really kind, patient but also encouraging and she has Taught us how to ride any horse, steady, forward or laid back! Over all we would recommend the stables to anyone who is looking to start riding or further their knowledge in riding! The owner lives on the premises and has several crosscountry fields and indoor arena.basically It's great!

Darlington stables rocks! My teacher recommended it to me nearly 2 years ago and I haven't missed a lesson since. The instructor is brilliant and the horses,Ginger in particular!,are really patient . The half days and full days are amazing . An extremely good value for money. When I began I had no ideia how to ride but now the instructor has told me everything I know.

TAKE NO NOTICE of the other review! I am one of those small girls and the instructor owns the place not just employed as staff. She is incredibly friendly and should be well respected for what she does. She has brought me on incredily and i jumped 3ft 6 on one of those overworked, tired and fed up ponies. She repays me for my help with free rides. The ponies have every rug a horse needs and the ponies always have a thick bed to lie on and food. You always get value for money from 10 pounds for an hour. The instructor puts you in the lesson based on your ability, not just what you think your daughter is! Ive have been there for 4 years and met every horse even the ones not there anymore. this is the truth...

“I found the stables to be very disorganised, and it...”

I found the stables to be very disorganised, and it was mainly being run by small children about 10 years old. The lessons were over booked and my daughter was placed on a beginners lesson with 12 other children, and there was only 3 small girls leading the ponies. The horses were over worked and looked fed up, lazy and grumpy. The instructor was kind but didnt teach, and most of the time my daughter was just walking round the middle whilst they tried to make the pony trot. The lesson was very cheap but i wouldn't really call it a lesson, more of a walk about. The yard was messy and the same small children were expected to do the mucking out. There was no staff except the instructor and the previous lesson and followng lesson were also overbooked and the same horses were being used. I wouldnt reccomend the stables to anyone as it didnt provide instruction and didnt seem like a god place for the horses to work. The only positive is that there is a indoor school.
