“A complete joke”

Got a parcel sent to me in France, it was refused delivery but they didn't call or try and see if I wanted it re-routed to a different address. On contacting UPS (the courier they were using) they said that a re route wouldn't be a problem, but I needed a tracking number. On calling Worldwide Parcel Services for this they refused to give it to me over the phone as apparently 'people write the down wrong' - sorry, what?!! I needed a large parcel collecting from an address in the UK and delivering to me in Australia. We moved here a few months ago. I had only ever used Parcelforce before but they wouldn't handle a parcel of this size. I Googled to find an alternative and chose WPS pretty much at random. “Problems solved.”

We have had, up until now, enormous difficulty in getting parcels sent to Australia from UK by those companies who will not transact or deliver outside UK, (having inevitably to call on favours from family, friends etc. With varying degrees of success.) I needed to send a brushcutter/strimmer from the UK to my place in Spain and spent a while shopping around for not only the cheapest but also a company that was established and dependable.I eventually found Worldwide Parcel Services, their reviews were positive and the price was very competetive. “Absolutely recommendable”

I am very impressed with the service. It is so easy to use. Just pack up a parcel, measure and weigh it, put it in on the website to get a quote and book it. To Germany even up to 20kg (maybe more) was only 24,99 pounds and with insurance (up to 250 pounds) I still only paid a little under 40 pounds. Not comparable with any other posting service. Quote software is simple and on the occasions when there has been problems (like my client describing an item as 'Framed Picture' - omitting to say the picture was protected by a sheet of glass, and it was only covered in brown paper, not boxed) WPS and their staff have exceeded my wildest expectations. My son and his family have lived in Florida USA for the past 20 years. Over time I have spent a fortune on postage but not any more! For the last 3 years I have used your service in November to send a Christmas parcel. It is picked up one day and is on his doorstep 2 days later unopened - super! First used WPS to send 12 kgm parcel to NZ early 2012 - used tracker to see it had arrived in NZ within 5 days. Excellent. However, it then spent 5 weeks in Auckland Customs. WPS couldnt care less. It turned out they should have emailed customs declaration forms to recipient but didnt. No apologies or anything. Only with intervention of DHL was package released. All International bookings requiring customs declaration forms are emailed directly to the shipper with the invoice and the labels to use on the parcel. Parcels come to our hub for security checks and if there are missing invoices the customers are asked to send them to us before the parcel moves forward.
We advise customers to track their parcels and inform us if there is any problem that we can help with. Customers are requested to put the shipping label that WPS sends them onto the parcel along with their WPS invoice number. We apologise if this customer was in any way confused by our procedure. Our Customer Services Team is always willing to help with any queries our customers have.

After a first setback with pick up which was very promptly and politely dealt with by WWPS so was not a problem at all, the whole system worked wonderfully well. I loved the tracking system which warned me of the arrival and clearance at Sydney and gave me an idea of when to expect the crate. Package arrived at it's final destination in Italy very badly damaged. Delivered by UPS, booked through Worldwide Parcel Services. Tried to discuss compensation with UPS but was informed I would have to raise the issue with Worldwide Parcel Services. Have tried to ring them for 5 days. Something wrong with the only phone line on their website. Have sent them numerous E Mails and messages via the "Contact Us" link on their website. No response received to any of them. Worldwide Parcel Services Ltd along will many other companies in our area became the victims of cable theft. The result of this was that we were left without internet and phone lines for most of that working week. This had obvious repercussions despite all of our efforts to work with what was available to us at the time. We felt very let down by BT at the amount of time it took for them to rectify the situation. Alternative measures were set up and eventually we were able to catch up and continue to offer the good level of customer service we pride ourselves on. We would like to apologise to this customer who was affected by this event.

“All damage!!!”

It is terrible, I had send 9 parcels with this company and all of them get damage, one had look like somebody cut with knife. When I claim ( I had bought extra insurance) they said it is out of time. I should claim within 14 days accounting from the collection day!! just let you know my parcels were on the way 10 darrived in parts within few hours break to one day. Our terms and conditions allow the customer 14 days from the collection date to submit a claim for damage. Customers agree to these terms at the time of booking prior to their booking being processed. This gives the customers ample time to discover any damage and inform us. This customer's parcels were collected on 2nd April and delivered on 9th April. The customer did not contact us to report the damage until 24th April (22 days after the collection date and 15 days after the delivery date). The extra cover is subject to these terms and conditons. In order something like a cooking pan to get damaged, the packaging cannot have been sufficient. Please note that is the customer stayed within the parameters of our claims procedures they could have raised a claim for their damaged items. They did not submit their claim on time.

After have a little problem with the charge payments from my bank accounts without having the services succeesful, I talked with worldwide-parcel services staff as by email as by telephone who did not let me alone in front the problem even gave me a fail certificate of those amounts payments, useful to prove in my bank that charge was an error in order they pay me in the account back the charge. The above is not true in my case. I returned my mobile phone purchased from Amazon and used WPS.The parcel was lost in transit and never been track. UPS awarded the claim and WPS did not wanted to pass the calim back to me what a shame. I would not use and would not recommend this carrier at all as the customer service is below avarage.
