    Well, what a beast of a machine. I purchased this machine after much deliberation. Afterall, it only does one stitch! But what it does it so well and so quickly. It is so well made and obviously built to last and the speed (1600pm) is astonishing. You can regulate the speed from from slow, medium, to fast wich is really useful.

    I thought the bobbin would be auckward to put in, but in fact when you get the hang of it it is very straight forward and the fact that you can wind on the bobbin while sewing is fantastic. Although threading takes time to get used to, it does mean that thread control is great and I have not had any problem with the tension. The Janome 1600p is a real powerhorse and as the P suggests, of profesional quality.

    There is fantastic room for large projects and the bed is extremly wide. This will obviously make it unsuitable for smaller pieces of work. I would relly recommed this great machine.
