Whether or not I would suggest this phone to a friend would have much to do with what exactly it was they were looking for. Some of its qualities are exceptional, while others have quite a ways to go. My favorite feature overall is the internet access, and for the most part the 3g coverage is fantastic. It loads quickly and is quite convenient. The phone's texting capabilities are also nearly perfect. The joint touch screen keyboard and full slide keyboard make it easy to type no matter... I have used the Motorola Droid since it came out - perhaps 6 months now. I am delighted with it. The downloadable apps are a delight to use. The maps and navigation function (a voice directing turn-by-turn) is outstanding. The only failure is the clock alarm, designed to be used as a bedside alarm clock. The display is so bright that it lights up the room and interferes with sleep, and the fonts on the face are obscured by supposedly artistic colors that make it impossible to read the... (read more)
