I bought an LG GW620 on a new contract from T Mobile. I got a great deal from them which gives me unlimited calls to landlines, unlimited internet and 300 cross network minutes/texts - all for £20 per month.
Unfortunately I find the phone very difficult to work - but I think its an age related thing!
Although I specifically asked for a phone that did little more than make phone calls, I ended up being recommended to this particular one.
For me, everything is in minature! Having (middle)- age related short sightedness and the beginnings of arthritic fingers, I find it non too easy to see and a bit fiddly to use the pull-out keyboard. I also had a bit of difficulty understand the great wadge of instructions!
I've mastered it as far as phone calls are concerned, but found it was far from adequate when using the internet.
I found out that the phone will work as a modem in its own right, so I now make use of it by attaching it to my laptop - ok, its not as convenient, but it does give me mobile internet access.
To do this I had to download an application (AP) from the phones "Market Place" ( a place full of useful and useless mini programs for the phone). This allowed me to connect the mobile to the phone by a process called "Tethering". It works very well and its free.
Overall, I am not too happy with the phone itself - although I agree its probably Me and not it thats at fault.
If you are middle aged and perhaps not as dextrous in the eye and finger departments anymore, you might find it a bit daunting.
I get on with it ok - but I wouldnt have another one.
