Probably as close to Nirvana as I've experienced and I've gone through numerous Nokia, Audiovox, Motorola and Samsung smartphones. This thing just works. Great calendar syncing, flawless bluetooth connection, great network and wifi reception and a pleasure to customize and optimize. Love it, recommend it. Hope RIM can resolve their serious business problems and continue to wow with great devices like the 9700. (read more)

This is my second blackberry, my first was the first Storm. Though I was already satisfied with the perks of having a blackberry. My storm eventually started to malfunction. Then I changed to the 9700 bold, and I've got to say, the bold is probably the only thing closest to the perfect blackberry.
I think the most surprising thing about the bold is how strong the phone is (That is if you get one that is working normally at first) I have had friends dropped their bolds off the second floor... (read more)

Afraid I am on my 3rd screen now. With the insurance excess this comes out at £60 a time. Not fit for purpose. Screens should not just go. Car phone warehouse where I brought it from are a WASTE OF SPACE. Blamed me for breaking screen. I know I did not. Blackberry again - maybe. The Blackberry Bold 9700 is good, it works well and has a simple, easy to use interface - (great for the older generation). The inbox on the Bold is well organised and UMA calling is very convenient - (this helps with signal) the The Bold 9700 has great battery life, I often go away for the weekend and don't take a charger.
The Bold 9700 takes quite some time to turn back on when turned off - (up to five minutes), and can be quite slow when browsing the internet, mainly due to the fact... (read more)

The Blackberry Bold's sleek and stylish design makes this a very quality phone to own and travel with. The mouse pad is a definite upgrade over the old ball that was used and often got stuck. Although scrolling down an entire page length is a little difficult, the scrolling speed can be set to your desire. The keypad is almost too easy to input as often times letters accidentally get typed multiple times. Once adjusted to the sensitivity of the keypad, it's no problem. The screen resolution... if i could give this zero stars i would the phone froze after 2 weeks took it back to O2 who gave me a replacement.
3 weeks later the side buttons on that stopped working O2 then said as it was over 28 days old they would send it for repair which i reluctantly agreed to.
i got it back one week later scatched and generally in a poor condition i am now waiting for a 2nd replacement to come.
ps o2 customer service is very poor. (read more)

I had a curve 8900, and then had it updated to the Bold 9700, I did at first have a small software issue with the phone, but O2 replaced the handset for me, since then its been great, I would not swap this phone for anything else, my wife has the iphone 4, thats no where near as good, the camera on the Bold is fantastic, get one of these I love my one, its like having a mobile office. Comparing Bold with Curve I should say Bold is better in many ways, firstly in design and quality. (read more)

I originally wanted to upgrade to an ipohone but the price was astronomical. Instead i went for the BB Bold.
In terms of a mobile phone, used for calls and texts, the BB works really well. With the bold your entire text conversation with someone is stored.
Where the iphone beats the BB is with apps and internet capabilities i believe. The Bold falls short with facebook, as i am unable to view facebook or other sites as easily as my friends with iphones.
A very cool piece of kit though,... (read more)

I am stunned by this amazing smartphone (Blackberry Bold 9700). I got one of these after my iPhone 3G finally gave up the ghost (after 18 months of use), and I actually think of this as an upgrade!
It took me a couple of hours of use to get used to the tiny trackpad (it's like using a mouse "nipple" or nub like you get on old laptops), but now I can click and move the cursor with precision. It's very nice to have a proper moveable cursor on websites when browsing on a small screen. The... (read more)

The Blackberry 9700 is a sleek, solid, well built luxury phone. It doesn't try nor need to try to compete with the iPhone as they are aimed at different markets.
This is the phone you want on the boardroom table. There's no gimmicks like the iphone and apps can run in the background. Its smart, stable and reliable. I totally believe this is the best business phone on the market, though none business users can make great use of apps like facebook, twitter myspace etc, which run much better... (read more)

One word Excellent...I think that sums up the phone.
My first Blackberry, I can tell you it will not be my last...It does everything I could dream of...Emails MSN Facebook...Youtube...Much much more, I love it,
2 Bad point...The settings hard to find the things you want...Bottons for a male are a little to small.
Other than that its great. (read more)
