I bought a Mitsubishi FTO from a small garage in Stoke and the salesman gave me 3 months mechanical breakdown cover with Auto Protect. I had an issue with my breaks so I decided to replace all the disks and pads to save any issue in the future, I knew that these would be classed as consumables by any mechanical breakdown company so would not be covered. When I went to the garage to have my new disks pads fitted, they told me I had a faulty caliper so I asked them to deal with the warranty company. They told me that they had dealings in the past with this company and were still waiting for payment and I would have to deal with them direct. I called AutoProtect and the guy on the phone was unhelpful, evasive and not interested. Then he told me that they covered seals and bits and pieces on the caliper but not the caliper. I asked him why in their advert they said they covered the braking system, he could not answer me. Avoid this warranty company like the plague, they are as you can see, a waste of time and you should ask for alternative cover for your new pride and joy. I also wrote and told them I would be writing a review about their lack of service and the were not bothered. Any professional company would do what they could in the current climate to keep customers happy. This company is a JOKE!!!!
