    This is very good for hard floors but not so good on carpets. I think this model has a major flaw in that the flat head has no brushes and also the suction on Carpets especialy deep pile is very poor. This vacuum is NOT SUITABLE FOR CARPETS in my opinion. What an over hyped product, believe me you are better off spending your money either on an upright or anoher brand. We were very dissapointed as we expected much better performance from a dyson than this - it could be why all the retailers have this model on special offer at the moment - don't buy unless you're only going to use on hard floors and old flat carpet.
