We arrived at the due time for a restaurant booking and were ushered into a lounge area exclusive to restaurant customers and a short while later our order was taken.Shortly afterwards we were ushered to our table, but because we had not wanted a starter we had to wait while all other costermers were served with their starters before our meal was served. We had friends to stay for the weekend and wanted to eat out for Sunday lunch. As it was Mothering Sunday and we were trying to book the afternoon before many places were fully booked and could not find space for us.
However The Cross Keys Inn accomodated us despite being fully booked. Due to it being Mothering Sunday, lunch was a 3 course meal for £20 per person. The menu choices were varied but not over the top and each course was fantastic. We were not rushed and not fussed over but made...

The Cross Keys is almost missed as it is at the opposite side of the village from the other pub/restaurants in Ombersley. It has a different ambience to its competitors with its cosy bar areas for delicious bar meals, and there is a separate smart evening restaurant for a-la-carte bookings, with a comfortable lounge for pre-dinner drinks or after-dinner coffee.
