    Bad Points: Website.
    Customer service.


    General comments: I ordered a wii from Littlewoods Direct - their website was very difficult to use and kept coming up with an incomplete home address for me - the name of the road was missing and I was unable to amend. I placed the order and phoned them to let them know the problem with the address. I was told that they would let the delivery people know. 4 days later I received a letter from them saying that they were unable to deliver to the "alternative address" I had provided and apologising for any inconvenience caused. I tried phoning again but the shortest queue on their lines was 23 minutes. I emailed to explain that in fact I had not given them an alternative address just a complete one but as they wouldn't deliver. I then received an email asking if I wanted to cancel the order which I thought was strange because their letter already told me that they weren't going to send the wii nevertheless I confirmed that the order should be cancelled. A day later I received an email saying that it was too late to cancel the wii would be sent out and I should refuse delivery. Of course because Littlewoods sent the wii out, they have charged my card and having phoned them I have been told that it might take up to 14 days to refund my card!! The woman to whom I spoke about this was very pleasant.

    Have to say I'm sorry for all you peeps who have experienced problems. I have been with littlewoods for 20 years never had a problem with them unlike other catalogue companies, they have been ok with everything even late payments.

    I have been a Littlewoods customer for over a year and been very loyal paid on time and at times paid a lot back to keep my balance down over the year. I have spent quite a lot of money with littlewoods I did not have a credit check, I have bad credit in my past and littlewoods started me off with £100 if I paid on time and built a history they will reward me with a tidy credit limit this is what I did I had £1000 limit paid on time and had over £700 left to spend.     We bought some stuff from littlewoods.com during Christmas (worth more than £400). Kept some stuff and returned the rest. After some time I checked my online account on littlewoods website and all the items returned were credited back to my account except for one item. Later on they also charged for another returned item without giving me any reason.     Every time I missed a payment, they charged me £12. However I have had a £1.90 credit on my account since 2006, of which I wrote to them cancelling my account and asked for the £1.90 to be sent to me by a cheque. I did not receive a reply from them and my account was kept open, with my credit still in it. I have wrote to them again, but I think it is wrong they can charge me when I do not give them my money, but I can't seem to get a response when they have mine.

    I won't go near littlewoods.com again! Customer service very poor. I tried to cancel an item but was told I hadn't ordered anything. You have to ring to cancel, and I found the person on the phone was rude as well. And they take your payment before they have even sent the item. Really poor.

    This refers to the main Littlewoods Catalogue and Littlewoods.co.uk. I have no experience of the High Street Store. Prices are well above high steet levels for all items from clothing to electrical to household furniture. This is typical of many mail order catalogues - not just Littlewoods. Interest free credit periods are not really free as you pay with increased cost - wether you use the interest free period or not!     Littlewoods I think is a very dated store that caters for the middle age plus, however they do sell fashionable leather coats at a very affordable price.
