Typically, the council couldn't organise a p*ss up in a brewery. Far too crowded, over priced, and lame fireworks. Caged in at the end so no one could get out (took well over an hour in the end to exit the park). Crowds started jostling and surging. With young kids and pregnant ladies around I was seething. Arguements flared up everywhere for people queue barging at the bar / food stalls. People in groups quickly got seperated and it was a living hell. AVOID! Victor Meldrew. (read more)

I was looking for the display with great anticipation, however very disapointed. The music played on and on as if they had only one cd. I was hoping to have the same experience I had 7 years ago, with nice music, firedisplays coordinated with music. Paying £6 for just a mere fire display. That s a rip off. Clapham Common did a better display (read more)

I went to the Battersea Park fireworks display with a couple of friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was well organised, as there was a lot of people there but, apart from a little bottleneck getting in to the park, there was not much queuing.
The fireworks themselves were incredible - they were all co-ordinated to set pieces of music and were timed beautifully and cleverly, with an excellent variation in both tempo and type of explosion. A particular highlight was the chorus of 'Purple...

Totally agree, possibly the worst fireworks display I have ever seen. Last year we went to Victoria Park, the year before Roundwood Park, they were both free and a million times better than the lack luster effort at Battersea Park.
