“DO NOT USE 5DAY”

Written on: 17/09/2017 by Steve1308 (1 review written)

I recently paid for my daughter to learn to drive with 5Day at Sidcup and unfortunately in hindsight this this was a very bad mistake. We had a bad experience with them and would not recommend them under any circumstances. Please also be aware that they are not registered or a member of any trade association so if you have a dispute with them it is very difficult to get anywhere as in our case they have just refused to communicate with us any further. I made the mistake of believing the hype on… Read Full Review

This pupil provided very positive feedback with regard to the in-car Instructor Monday to Thursday and passed her theory test on her final day. However, they had become very upset on Thursday having struggled to come to grips with aspects of their driving. Instead of continuing to try to improve they decided to abandon driving on Thursday afternoon and then blame their progress on the Instructor. We offered this pupil a different Instructor for the remainder of the course, but this was declined and they left the course and went home. A complaint was lodged by their Father who clearly saw this as an opportunity to obtain compensation. In an effort to resolve matters, even though we had done nothing wrong and they had decided not to proceed with the course with another Instructor, we offered them further complimentary tuition with our Training Manager to try to improve their confidence levels. Once again this was declined and instead they paid for further tuition with another Company/Instructor! Our course is £914 excluding the test fees paid to the DVSA. Excluding VAT that equates to £761.67 for invaluable classroom briefs each morning at 9am, in-car tuition between 10:00am and 2:30pm and theory training between 3 and 5pm each day, it also provides you with access to our fast-track practical driving test service, the use of a 5Day car for the test and free corrective lessons if you are unsuccessful. This pupil has declined all of this in favour of paying someone else.

“Got what I paid for !”

Written on: 14/09/2017 by Niamh2014 (1 review written)

I read all the reviews prior to attending in Sale and they are mainly very very good, the negative things said were you pay for lessons if your are not ready? Well yes as you would expect if you do not feel ready to sit a test it's not a free ride I paid for 2 more lessons and considering I had never driven before the amount I spent including tests was £999 plus £96 for 4 additional hours! My friends at uni have taken over 9 months spending £1700 upwards! The centre is clean tidy and has a… Read Full Review

“Don't get very much for your money”

Written on: 10/09/2017 by Tamia473 (1 review written)

For £914 you only get 20 hours of practical driving teaching. I signed up for this course thinking that it would fully prepare me for the practical driving test but not enough hours were spent in the car to feel fully comfortable and prepared. On top of the money I spent on this course I will now have to pay to have more lessons to get further practice before I can book the test. 5DAY supposedly pay for test retakes but charge £50 for car hire for each retake so there is still a large… Read Full Review

“Well worth it!”

Written on: 04/09/2017 by sakera (1 review written)

Would highly recommend 5Day to other people who haven't yet done their theory or passed their driving test. Being a nervous driver at the beginning of the week and then becoming completely confident thanks to my instructor! All the instructors were lovely and the tutor in the classroom was great. Couldn't of passed my driving test without my instructor pushing me to my limits and without spending time in the class. Thank you once again for helping me pass my driving test! Honestly couldn't… Read Full Review

“A great course to get you started!”

Written on: 11/08/2017

I have just completed my 5DayL intense driving course at the Barnet 5Day Centre. I was eager to progress in the course & asked that I be pushed to my limits to get great results. From the morning rules of the road class, to the 4 hours of driving a day, I didn't once doubt the instructors/teachers & listened/followed all the guidance given. I liked how the driving is split up into 2, 2 hour sessions, with theory classes in the afternoon. The theory lessons helped loads, as we were guided and… Read Full Review

“Passed with 5 day Chelmsford!”

Written on: 02/08/2017 by Saratorok (1 review written)

I went into 5day with a determined attitude and a real want to pass my test. Passed my theory at the end of the week which I was really happy about. The week flew past, it was very structured and I learnt a lot. After my week course, I had a few extra lessons with my instructor and was ready for my test, unfortunately I did not pass the first time due to a silly error made by myself but was encouraged to carry on. At this time the centre manager offered me correction lessons and I had these and… Read Full Review

“Go with realistic expectations and you'll make progress!”

Written on: 28/07/2017

If you go in with realistic expectations and talk to your instructor about your aims, you will make good progress. I went from not knowing how to drive at all, to feeling pretty confident on the road and with most manoeuvres too, which I think in 5 days is pretty impressive. I've saved so much time by completing this 5day course, rather than the standard lesson a week - which I doubt I would have fully committed to. All I need now is for a few extra lessons to finish where I left off and… Read Full Review

“Truly excellent course!”

Written on: 18/07/2017 by Kayleigh1991 (1 review written)

I just completed the 5Day course in Norwich. The theory preparation was excellent and although I hadn't even looked at the Highway Code before the course, I passed the theory with flying colours. The part of the course that was really important to me was the practical test. I was matched up with a perfect instructor for my temperament. I was asked to take a quick survey before hopping in a car and this appears to have been taken completely on board. I had completed 5 hours of lessons 12 years… Read Full Review

“Leeds- Not a smooth experience”

Written on: 06/07/2017 by Sanamao (1 review written)

I went to the Leeds 5day driving course. Credit where it is due, the course prepares you really well for your driving theory test. You don't experience as much driving as you think you will for the price you pay for the course. You get about 4 hours per day. Even though I did pass first time when I eventually took my test, I think it was down to my own capabilities than anything else and here's why. The instructor I had was late on more than 1 occasion, frequently late back from lunch, and I… Read Full Review

“Top Quality Services”

Written on: 03/07/2017 by Malone232 (1 review written)

I went to the Sidcup centre, and I was a 37 yrs old male, with little to no driving experience prior to signing up with 5Day. After meeting the wonderful people there, I am now a 37 yrs old male who passed his Theory and Practical first time! Lessons started 5th June and the earliest practical test available was 21st June, using the 5Day fast track system (Booking a test otherwise will give you a six week wait at least). It is hard work, it is called an intensive course afterall, but if… Read Full Review

“Excellent experience in North London, passed first time!”

Written on: 23/06/2017 by Patrickhall84 (1 review written)

I would say that if you're a moderate to quick learner then this is definitely a course worth investing in. I chose to learn to drive using 5day because I do pick things up quickly and felt it would best suit my needs. I initially booked this course 3 days before it actually started (22/05/2017) and was accepted with no problem, all confirmations were sent via email. Turned up on the Monday and was given a quick 1 hour briefing on the course itself and then some theory. I met my instructor… Read Full Review

“Passed 2nd time!”

Written on: 19/06/2017 by Louiselabruto (1 review written)

I passed my theory first time then booked my driving test. I had booked a few lessons privately with the person I dealt with who was my driving instructor throughout the course, unfortunately I failed my test due to a silly mistake that I made, but with some FREE mentoring sessions from 5day I was able to build up my confidence again to book another test which I booked on the Thursday and got a test date for today! I am very happy to announce that I passed my driving test today! I would… Read Full Review
