I have used cd wow quite a lot over the last few years. I do not use them anymore. Every time I have placed an order recently I receive the email telling me it is out of stock and they are waiting for a shipment to arrive, then usually a week later I will receive another email telling me that there has been a further delay. This has happened on my last five or six orders. When I cancel my order I get an email confirming this with the obligatory sorry for any inconvenience. When I questioned them on why the items are sold if they are not in stock and why customer are not informed of this before purchasing all they have done is apparently blame the suppliers and say items are usually in stock - must only be the ones I order then!

The concept is great but the follow through in this day and age is quite frankly sloppy. I have given this company a good hearing by ordering off them 3 times, the first time ( a few years ago) the item came prompt enough, but the last 2 times have been terrible, waiting over a month each time for delivery of an item that i believed to be in stock at the time of the order! and i don't think its fair to say that you can't blame them for not having stuff in stock, why sell it if its going to take ...

CD WOW is much quicker than my only (and last) order from Amazon, which I paid through the nose for shipping for. I've had one item delay from CDWOW and they advised me straight away about it... It's a little crazy to think that every item will be in stock, and I've had plenty of delays from other online stores! It seems harsh to judge them only on reviews from customers who have had delays! I've had nothing but good experiences - shame no happy customers are reviewing as they really have picked ...

Ordered GTA IV on the 30th april then recieved an email saying they were out of stock and it would be despatched 5th may and thats the last ive heard, now its the 16th of may and still no sign or word, so contacted my credit card company to get reimbursement. And as a 1st time buyer with this site my advice to anyone is dont use it.

I ordered gta4 on the 29th . i was told it was in stock and would have it by the 5th of may then i recieved an email teling me it was delayed and i would have it on the 9 th then i was told the `12th now they're telling me they wont have it in stock untill the 15th of may!?absolutely terrible .

I ordered a cd from CD-WOW on april 5th for a friends birthday and for days it was 'pending dispatch'. It's now the 16th and my orders been cancelled (not by me, by the company), but they have taken the money out of my account. Could someone please give me some advice as to what I should do. This website's caused me nothing but grief. Someone help me!

Ordered a PS3 controller from them, 5 days after i had ordered it i received an email saying they didnt have stock and are waiting on stock from the supplier. With estimated dispatch on the 14th April. Another 5 days from receiving said email. They shouldnt be saying things are in stock on the website that they dont have!

Everything. They sold me albums they couldn't deliver, they didn't contact me very much and never answered my complaints. Even after they cancelled my order, they were still offering the products on their site without a warning. Deliveries turned up unannounced or not at all. In my opinion CD Wow is no longer the cheapest or best fulfilment of music in the UK and it's now better to pop along to your local supermarket or independent music store.

They cannot do anything right for me recently, and have tarnished their once excellent reputation. 18 months ago I would have filled in the Good points. Cant think of any nowadays

I preordered Crysis for its november release and it arrived on the release day. Unfortunately it didn't work and we thought it was because our graphics card was not good enough for the game. We finally got new PC in february with more than the game requirements only to find it still wouldn't run. So after having the game some 3 months i emailed cdwow and explained the problem. I ordered from CD-WOW because without shipping, their price beat Amazon. But then I started reading online about all the bad reviews with CD-WOW--delivery problems, etc. so I emailed them, asking when I could expect my order to arrive. I have used CD Wow for many hassle free years - until last year. I ordered a DVD and waited 6 MONTHS, and then they tried to tell me that the oreder was a pre-release even though it had been released approx a year earlier. I thought this would be a one-off, so after spending six months buying my DVD's elsewhere, I purchased another DVD. I have now waited 2 months, and all I get is the standard 'out of stock' e-mail - even though it was supposedly 'in stock' when I ordered.

Always very unreliable. Order the DVD and wait a couple of days for the standard "we are sorry this item is out of stock" yet they will still happily take your money and indeed still advertise the product as available.
Shop elsewhere as there must be a better service than this.

I live in the Netherlands, and when i receive an email that my order is dispatched i have it within 5-7 days. One time i cancelled an order on Sunday and on Monday my money was back on my bank account.For me is cd-wow oke.

Do not order anything from cd-wow.
i ordered a top 75 cd on the 14 november and the item has still not arrived (20 dec) and will now not be with me until christmas.
at the beginning of the month i decided to give them another change, after waiting 2 weeks for another cd it arrived cracked. The second cd in the order has still not arrived.
for the £1 you save on cd-s here it well worth going to hmv who deliver the same or next day.

I ordered several DVD's for Xmas a long time before their cut off date. As of today (20 Dec) I am still waiting and since ordering the status of items has changed to out of stock! When I could get any sense out of their customer service centre, I found that they ordered the items in based on orders received and I ended up waiting for ages as it was out of stock at their suppliers. I have just threatened legal action for breach of contract and misleading information on their website - maybe this ...

I'm a new customer to CD WOW.
I have purchased an DVD in 19th Nov. After 2 days, they have sent me the email state that the item had been dispatched and I also see the dispatched + emailed status in my orders page.
The problem is after 9 days, now I'm still waiting for the item to arrive.
I don't know when/whether it will get to me or not. If this site offer a more reliable shipping method then it'll be the best.
I'll wait a few days more before request support from them. Hope everyt ...

I have used CD-Wow for years however I have noticed recently that all reference to security in the payment screens is missing, by this I mean the usual things you are told to look out for when purchasing on line - Padlock on screen - Https instead of just Http - etc. I have spoke to Cd-Wow about this and they confirm all is okay.
Further to this and more worrying, they show the Safebuy Assured Tick on the web pages but if you click on this you get the following Text:

At CD WOW the prices are ok. Payment is through a place called PAYNOVA. Does not appear to be secure (No padlock in status bar. Although I like what they sell, I wouldn't risk my credit card details.
