Placed an order for approx £150 Halloween customers for the children with next day delivered. The items didn't arrive but got an email to say no money was taken from my account and that the order was not delivered as it was high value and considered to be fraud. It so happens that the money was taken from my account and I am now left with the mess of 1) getting costumes for the children and 2) speaking to my bank to try and recover the money. Looking at some of the reviews here it feels like this company needs to be reported to Trading Standards

I ordered my daughter her first Halloween costume and payed an extra £10 for it to be delivered on the 31st before 1pm. The costume didn't arrive I called up and was told they put it in the later truck to be delivered the next day(1st) and would refund the charges. The costume still didn't arrive so I called up again and spoke to a different person who then told me it hadn't left there depo yet, I told them to forget about the costume as it was no use anymore as Halloween was over! To which I was told they would refund it as soon as the costume arrives back in there shop. However the costume arrived today! A week after it was supposed to and after I had already told them I want a refund! Called up again today to be told to send it back to get a refund so I have to pay to return something I had cancelled a week ago. Absolutely shocking! To pay for something to come within a certain day/time to then not arrive, and to be told different things down the phone is a disgrace! I will definitely not be shopping with fancy dress again and I will not be recommending any of my family or friends to do so

I ordered a fancy dress for my daughter for the world book day. I paid an extra £5.00 that guaranteed next day delivery. The costume did not arrive the day after but two days later. I called the company and explained what happened and asked for the extra £5.00 to be refunded as they did not delivered within 24 hours and they refused. When I returned the costume which was no use to my daughter I had to pay £4.15 to my dismay.The company would not even cover the return cost. This company has no sense of customer service whatsoever. I Will never use then again and I will certainly never ever recommend them to anybody.

Returned a costume as it developed a fault after wearing but according to their 'customer service' if that's what you call them they could find no fault with the costume and returned it to me, shocking after sales service avoid this company like the plague, currently perusing this through my credit card company so they don't get away with ripping people off!!

Paid extra for guaranteed delivery. It didn't arrive and ruined the day. Phoned to chase delivery, they said I would get a call back. No one called. I then chased the following day and was calmly told that it was ParcelForce's issue and I could speak to them. The person I spoke to at FancyDress.com gave me the impression he couldn't care less whether I got the outfit or not. Thanks a bunch. Will not be ordering from them again.

I went to the store to pick get a costume but someone before me brought the costume! Typical. They checked there other store and online and they had stock. I went online ordered and by lunch time it was on my desk at work. They costume was brilliant and fitted perfect! They went out there was in S/A to get me this costume and even tho I had to order on line it was no problem at all! Thank you Angels Fancydress. I'm looking forward to Halloween and getting to dress up again!

Ordered on Monday morning and paid for the first class delivery, in order to get the costume by Friday. They only shipped on Wednesday afternoon, so there was no chance to get it in time. Avoid them.

Angels fancy dress site is otherwise known as www.fancydress.com and is normally my first stop when I'm looking for Halloween costumes or inspiration for the next fancy dress party I'm going to. They have a large range of costumes although sometimes I would like to see skirts that would at least cover my modesty (I'm a little taller than average and the dresses would be turned into long tops!). I bought the long black Cher wig for last Halloween and it wasn't bad for the money, I think it was £25. It would have been a bonus to have had instructions on how to comb the wig without pulling the hairs out! Eek.
I'd like them to have a little more choice on outfits. I normally want to create something a little different and I'd like to buy seperate skirts and tops so I could create a special outift. But generally Angels is a nice site and perfect for Halloween!

Customer service is a joke! If you want your company to survive I suggest you hire staff that care about their job and quality of care and compassion they put into achieving the best for there customers! If I wanted standard delivery I would've only paid for standard delivery. Not impressed with the lack of communication between store and customer. Not so much as an email to inform me that the costume I paid an extra £10 for would not only be here on the day it was supposed to (31st) but not arrive until a week later today (6th)
