The Christmas market in Hyde Park is motivated by the German style Christmas markets you would find in Munich or Nuremberg. They got a few elements right, e.g.the food and drink offers are pretty authentic German stuff. They are pretty massively overprized, but I can't hold that against them since that just seems to be the same at every Christmas market I've ever been to. However, a few other elements just don't seem right, like for example the various fun rides. Definitely they don't contribute to a very Christmassy atmosphere. Not holy!
