    The Jolly Farmer is a Pub not a bar, but a good one. We went here for a saturday lunch, taking three children aged 3 to 9. Plenty of outside space means that if the weather is good you can avoid subjecting others to the racket kids make, and a good varied menu that includes childrens portions means that everybody is well catered for. Only criticism - when a pub starts to serve a chocolate sauce with its venison sausages you know it is starting to try just a bit too hard - leave that stuff for Mr Blumenthal..
