    I first saw The Couture Gallery's beautiful wedding dresses on the Brides magazine website and loved their glamour and elegance. The boutique, just off Kensington Church Street, is lovely and the best thing was being able to speak to the designer, Britta, in person when I called to make an appointment and when I came into the shop. It was so nice to be able to discuss my ideas and possible modifications to the designs with Britta as well as her suggestions to make them unique and adapted to suit me personally. This makes a refreshing change to some of the more cheesy sales patter you get in some of the bridal stores! It was great to have input into an almost bespoke wedding dress and you know that the quality of the dresses is great as they are hand made in the shop with beautiful silks and lace. I even loved trying on the calico toile (mock-up) which would have been a lovely dress in itself! Every time I came back for a fitting I found myself coveting another of Britta's designs but I loved wearing my beautiful and unique dress on my wedding day and had so many compliments, it's just a shame it only gets one outing!

    You know how it is usually for brides... trying tones of dresses before finding one that fits and that the bride is happy with? Going from wedding shop to wedding shop wasting time and feeling exhausted? Well there was none of that hassle for me!     I bought my wedding dress from the Couture Gallery in Kensington and will forever be grateful that I did. Tucked away in a perfect little street off Kensington Church Street, but only a minute from the main road (and a quick five minutes from Notting Hill Gate) is the stylish studio and boutique, where the dresses are actually made as well.

    I went into the Couture Gallery because I loved the dresses in the window - simple, elegant and unique. Britta suggested styles that I should try on and I could tell that she already knew from looking at my body shape exactly which style would suit me best. She created the most beautiful dress using chiffon ribbon and a brooch, which created the elegant look that I wanted to achieve in a way that I would never have thought of.     I walked past the Couture Gallery before my wedding in June and fell in love with Britta's designs. The dresses are so beautifully made and the details are so beautiful - Britta was a delight to deal with and she made 'the wedding dress search' such a lovely experience for me.     Britta, designer of the Couture Gallery, has been most amazing. The boutique is small and comfortable and I was made to feel extremely welcome right from my first visit. The service Britta provides is on a one to one basis, and therefore one feels very special, which is exactly what I wanted when looking for my wedding dress.     My wedding was in June 2009 and I cannot recommend the Couture Gallery highly enough. The beautiful dress created for me is a testament to the designer, Britta Kjerkegaards' expertise and eye for detail. Not only did Britta create my perfect dress but it was her enthusiasm and appreciation that this was my big day that made the couture experience thoroughly enjoyable.     from the onset Britta put me at ease. I had a very clear idea of what I was looking for, but I loved some of the extra details she suggested. i had left the entire thing rather late, but she managed to have it ready for the day and despite having some lace specially for me!

    The day after I got engaged I started buying wedding magazines and pulled out pages with dresses that I liked. I then went to half a dozen bridal shops trying on dresses, but they never had anything like the picture that I couldn't stop looking at.     I was married in August this year and had my beautiful wedding dress made at The Couture Gallery in Kensington. I had very positive experience and I absolutely loved everything about having my dress made with them.

    When I got engaged last year I was really looking forward to finding the perfect wedding dress.
    However after endless research and spending most Saturdays going to different bridal shops where the gowns were beautiful but never 'quite right' I was beginning to find the whole thing a bit tedious to be honest.
