Panasonic Viera TX-L26X10
9 Apr 2009

Summary
The HD Ready Viera TX-L26X10 is pricey for a no-frills, 26-inch LCD TV, but it offers a better AV performance than the vast majority of its rivals. It won't win any design awards, but if you're looking for a second-room TV and care about performance, ...

Pros
Built-in SD card slot ; generally good pictures with standard- and high-definition sources ; better sound quality than you usually get with a 26-inch LCD TV

Cons
Not cheap for what it is ; images can look dull if watched in a very bright room ; black levels could be better

Verdict
Many manufacturers don't really take 26-inch TVs seriously. But, while the Panasonic Viera TX-L26X10 might be low on interesting features and more expensive than many of its rivals, it does at least produce a superior AV performance

2 May 2009

Summary
As a result, we guess we shouldn't be too surprised to discover that it's a pretty bland looking TV with precious few features to keep us busy. For instance, unlike our previous two contenders, this Panasonic set isn't a full HD screen; instead it's ...

Pros
Good standard definition image, can be watched from a wide viewing angle, HD images look crisp

Cons
It's not full HD, dark scenes look washed out and uneven, colours feel a bit flat, expensive for what it does

Panasonic TX-L26X10
17 May 2009

Summary
Its connections, for instance, include a trio of HDMIs rather than the usual two, a VGA PC port, and even an SD card slot via which you can watch JPEG photos. Also of note are an Eco running mode that adjusts the TV's brightness automatically in ...

Pros
Pictures are generally very good, decent set of connections/features for the money, easy to use

Cons
It's a bit ugly, its viewing angle is limited, and it's rather expensive versus the competition

My LG 32LT75 freezes several times a day...
Most of the controls lock out, the only way to fix this is to unplug it from the mains as the power button also locks up.

in my opinion there are way too many issues with the TV to give any other opinion than to be disappointed. I may have been unlucky to have got a bad egg. It's true you get full HD but for sky HD this is not an issue. If you use a Blu-ray - HD DVD or PS3 then you get the benefit of 1080p. But in the sources I use the picture is plagued by pulsing which in SD maybe you would expect but not in HD. The sound is the best bit, it's good. But TV, in my opinion, is all about picture and this TV just...

LG RZ37LZ55
11 Jul 2008

Bought the RZ37LZ55 LCD TV from Curry's in late 2006, so it's now out of warranty. In that time, it was fine except for an annoying habit of not coming out of standby very quickly. Tonight - it failed with a rather spectacular "BANG" and a white flash from the back of the TV. From the other reviews here, It seems this is a common problem? I'm an electronics engineer, so I've already figured out which part failed - it's a chip in the power supply. However - one wonders why it failed. Simply...
