Summary
The small-screen TV market is plagued by sets with rubbish picture quality and features, but the 22-inch, HD Ready 22LU4000 LCD TV isn't one of them. In fact, its picture quality is among the best we've seen at this size, and it packs in plenty of ...

Pros
Really good pictures for such a small TV ; very cute ; loads of features ; attractively priced

Cons
Feeble audio quality ; design may not be to everyone&apos ; s tastes

Verdict
LG hasn't forgotten to put some quality behind the 22LU4000's glamorous exterior. Its pictures are some of the best we've seen in the small-screen TV market, and it's got tonnes of features to play with too. It's just a shame the swanky design seems ...

Good looking TV we bought for use in the kitchen, wall mounted (stand supplied) and has proven to be competent at everything we have asked of it. most of the time it takes the role as pc monitor (running happily at 1280x960), or screening Freeview (separate box) through SCART.
Easy set-up, easy to use, although if like me you do use it regularly as a pc monitor, you may become sick of having to scroll through every AV/SV/HD setting to get back to the SCART input.
Otherwise a good HD...

If i could afford it, I would rather buy a Sony or Panasonic. the picture is ok but sound is very poor, even at full bass it sounds tinny

Re CivilServant's comments above - although we didn't buy from John Lewis, we first saw it there and the stickers on the TV said it was HD ready - and the salesman giving us the spiel said so. This was 4 years ago when HD was in its infancy - now I just had HD installed and am pretty miffed to find the TV is not HD compatible.

Samsung LE40R74BDX

The Samsung LE40R74BDX is a great value for money tv although I have issues with the bad points..
I've also noticed that it sometimes does its own "system reboot" which is a tad worrying!
Speakers need to be greatly improved - I've connected it to my DVD setup!
Would suggest sticking with Samsung but buying a newer model - good luck!
