Sony Bravia KDL-55X4500
16 Feb 2009

Summary
To be honest we can't quite decide if this striking design is actually really attractive, or just a bit odd. But there's no such uncertainty over the 55X4500's specs. For as well as the all-important LED backlight technology, this monster Sony's ...

Pros
Outrageously good pictures, great connectivity, plenty of features

Cons
Large design, it's not exactly cheap

Sony Bravia KDL-46X4500
31 Jul 2009

Summary
The 46-inch, 1080p, LED-backlit Bravia KDL-46X4500 LCD TV produces, on occasions, the best pictures we've seen on a flat TV from Sony. It's also attractive, well-connected and far cheaper than sets that use the same technology, although it'll still ...

Pros
Capable of excellent picture quality ; well-connected ; fairly attractive ; far cheaper than other LED-backlit TVs with RGB dimming

Cons
Very expensive compared to Samsung&apos ; s latest LED sets ; needs careful calibration ; uses last year&apos ; s Bravia Engine 2 video-processing system ; colours occasionally look slightly unnatural

Verdict
Sony has aimed high with the Bravia KDL-46X4500, its debut LED-backlit LCD TV. In many ways, its efforts have paid off handsomely, and the TV is certainly capable of producing some stunning pictures. It's not quite perfect, however, and that's enough ...

JVC LT-32DY8ZJ Review - This TV replaced my old Sony Trinitron and I wasn't convinced until I got home and set it up. Straight out the box it offered to scan for new digital and analogue channels. I went and had a nice cup of tea and by the time I came back it was done and ready to go. The quality of the picture watching a Blu-Ray movie was outstanding. The picture watching TV through the built-in Freeview decoder was also very good indeed. The sound was just about ok until I found the 'hyper...

Just after the guarantee expired black colours on the picture started turning green or red to the point it was unwatchable. Is going to cost about £250 to repair and seems to be a common fault - probably one samsung new about when they sold the TV's as new from checking out various other peoples similar experience on the web. I would spend a little more a get a TV that is more reliable - my last sony TV lasted 6 years without any problems.

A cracking TV. Easy to set up, a joy to watch and the 1080 HD is stunning.
Think I've found the cheapest price so far..... £427.99 at Morrisons in Bramley,Leeds.

What makes it a definite success in my book is the perfect balance it manages to strike between the key elements of price, design, features and performance. Great design; very good black level performance; plenty of features; really vibrant colours.

Definitely recommend

Have to say I looked at this for a while and tried to find some reviews but couldn't find any... Hannspree I feel will be huge in the UK as they are in the States - value for money is great - £449 including VAT and two year warranty... really, what more could you ask, Fabulous looking TV with lots of features - Image and sound are also great, the sound is a little tinny but who listens to the TV without surround sound... but I am more than happy. Given the money a feel like I have a true...
