Samsung LE40R88BD

I dont understand why there are bad reviews of the Samsung LE40R88BD TV on here, perhaps its just bad luck for a few purchasers. Picture quality is outstanding even with built in Freeview or a separate box. And thats not even HD which is even better. Sound is also good but obviously not better than 5.1 surround.

Great quality set. realitively straight forward to set up and use.
Works extremely well with Samsung dvd/video player. Great definition with sharp blacks. Would recommend to my best friend.

Sony KLV-L32M1

Re comments/questions of HD compatibility, mine had 'stick-ons' that clearly stated "HD ready", and the Sony Australia website shows the KLVL32M1 "HD ready" although it is also "No longer available". I'm considering going for HD, so if there is an 'expert' out there who can explain to me if I can connect through a SCART socket? I suspect the answer will be an emphatic "NO!!"

The repair guy has now had our Sony Bravia KDFE50A12U for 5 weeks and Sony are asking a lot of questions about the age and where it was bought and taking forever to send the parts.

I have had this Panasonic Viera TX tv for more than a month now. I have to say that overall, I am very happy with it. It is capable of 1080p high definition resolutions (not many 32 inch tvs can do this), and is a well-engineered piece of kit.
PICTURE: I have tested the 1080p mode by using my XBOX 360. As can be expected, the pictures are crisp and the tv performs very well. I do not have an HD TV subscription, so cannot comment on how it performs to digital TV high-def content. Normal...
