Toshiba Regza 37CV515DG
27 May 2008

Summary
After a few adjustments, the CV515DG produces a nice image. There is just the limitation to HD Ready definition.

Pros
- Very nice colors, - Large range for adjusting brightness, - Deep black, - HD compatible digital tuner

Cons
- Mediocre rescaling of SD sources, - Viewing angles are a bit narrow

Toshiba 32AV555
2 May 2009

Summary
Not surprisingly, it doesn't exactly set the world on fire with its looks, which are resolutely bland. It's also rather average in the connections department, thanks to its carriage of just two HDMIs rather than the three sported by our other three ...

Pros
So cheap it's silly, fair specification and good performance for the money

Cons
Black levels not the best, weak standard definition sources can look a bit rough, the picture isn't very bright

Toshiba Regza 37AV615DB
15 Jun 2009

Summary
It's not Full HD, but it does a good job without costing the earth

Verdict
There's room for improvement on this model - most notably the detail and contrast on darker scenes - but the bottom line is that it provides a good standard-definition image on a big widescreen display, at a competitive price. Home cinema buffs will ...

Toshiba 37RV635

Summary
While the price of the 37RV635 might be enough to get you excited, the picture doesn't quite have the same effect

Pros
Price ; good spec for the money ; inoffensive picture quality

Cons
Noisy Freeview images ; Blu-ray pictures lack clarity and detail ; not confident with movement

Does Resolution+ save the day?

Verdict
Thank goodness for Resolution+. Had it not been included, we might have had a fairly unremarkable TV on our hands. But this effective picture tech saves the 37RV635D from LCD ignominy, bringing high- and standard-definition pictures up to scratch. ...

Toshiba Regza XV (37XV635DB)
6 Oct 2009

Summary
The Regza 37XV635DB isn't particularly expensive for a 37-inch, 1080p LCD TV, but it's still got plenty going for it. Its minimalist design is pleasing, its performance with standard-definition material is particularly good, it packs an effective ...

Pros
Excellent standard-definition pictures ; solid black levels for the price ; 100Hz system is subtle but effective

Cons
Picture isn&apos ; t very bright ; HD material looks slightly soft ; limited viewing angle

Verdict
The Toshiba Regza 37XV635DB's 100Hz engine definitely helps it improve on the picture quality of the company's cheaper TVs. Its sound is better too, and we love the effect that the Resolution+ processing has on standard-definition material. The TV's ...

LG RZ37LZ55

I bought this is July 2006 and upon delivery the tv was faulty where as it would not display and sound or picture. I had this swapped under the warranty and then two years later it went bang!! I have since read that this is a possible fault with this model.

Spoke to Dixons and they had advised me to get an engineers report which states the tv was faulty from manufacturer which will cost me about £20- £50. I have ordered the part my self and hopefully will be able to...

ive had a 40" Samsung LE40M86BD lcd since feb 2006 and it's never been any trouble at all, pic still great.got a Samsung up-scaler DVD player and through the hdmi socket it's practically a good as blue ray.
having said that the sound on this tv has never been very good no matter how you set it up, seems the same on all slimline sets obviously because of the speaker sizes,
a friend bought a Samsung two months ago (37"lcd) and it stopped working completely in three days, returned it for...

Toshiba 42X3030DB
24 Oct 2007

I researched and researched LCD and Plasma TVs and came to the conclusion that there is never going to be the perfect LCD TV so I took the plunge. The Toshiba 42X3030DB has received very good online reviews and the price of £879 (before using Quidco and any vouchers) seemed very reasonable.

Pros:

The TV looks fantastic with an understated elegance. The stand it comes with is unobtrusive and sturdy. Set-up is very easy and with the help of online sites such as www...

Panasonic TX15LT1
28 Jun 2004

I had the TC-15LT1, which lost it's brightness after 20 months. There is no repair for that, only to replace the entire LCD panel for $1000.
Panasonic offered only to sell me a "rebuilt" set at a cheap price. I declined. Fortunately, I had paid for the set with my AMEX card, which doubled the warrantee, and AMEX refunded my full purchase price!

Great picture, very good looking and cheap (if you look around). Lots of inputs, Svideo, scart, VGA! (1280*1024 pixels), TV tuner. However, pathetic tiny speakers will make you weep. Not a problem... if you are spending £700 on a TV, you really should be using a separate amp and speakers (like I am). If you aren't then you might want to see if other flat screens have better sound.
