Fairly inexpensive TV for what you get. Superb picture quality. Easy to use. Sound quality is very good but has nothing to speak of in the bass department but get yourself a surround kit (or just the sub woofer) and you'll love it !

Toshiba Regza 32AV635DB
14 Aug 2009

Summary
Given its eye-poppingly affordable price, you can't be too surprised that the 32-inch Regza 32AV635DB LCD TV doesn't break any AV barriers. But it still outperforms the vast majority of its ultra-cheap peers, offering surprisingly accomplished ...

Pros
Seriously cheap ; pictures aren&apos ; t bad at all, especially with standard-definition material ; good amount of connections ; surprising number of features

Cons
Image isn&apos ; t very bright ; hi-def images could look sharper ; limited viewing angle

Verdict
Inevitably, given its startlingly low price, the Toshiba Regza 32AV635DB doesn't exactly set new AV standards. But that doesn't stop it outperforming and offering more features than the vast majority, if not all, of its ultra-cheap peers, making for a ...

Toshiba 26AV615DB

Summary
It might have its plus points, but the Toshiba doesn't shine in this competitive class

Pros
Reasonably clear sound ; good blacks ; decent all-round picture

Cons
Intermittent buzzing ; some instability ; lacks detailing

Toshiba 32AV615DB

Summary
A cheap and very cheerful set - and we've seen it for even less than £400

Pros
Look at the price ; clean TV images ; smooth motion and decent colours

Cons
Not 1080p-compatible ; black levels and absolute insight could be better

Toshiba 32AV635
21 Sep 2009

Summary
Making its price all the more remarkable is the fact that the 32AV635 is far from basic in its specification. It's got a more than respectable four HDMIs, for starters, as well as USB jack capable of playing JPEG pictures.

Pros
Excellent standard def pictures, good connectivity, remarkable value for money

Cons
Brightness is limited, dark scenes lack shadow detail, occasional colour tone concerns

Purchased this Samsung LE40A656A tv last july after waitng for it to get down to £750.is now below £700 i think.can not fault it.spent ages looking at all the rivals and decided that this was as good as the sony offering but was nicer looking plus it has 4 hdmi's which is rare.i need them all - sky hd/pc/home cinema and xbox.(it makes a cool pc monitor!).after buying it i found you could get a matching home cinema system in the rose black which upscales to 1080p so i bought that...

DMTECH DML-4117WD
18 Jan 2008

The DMTECH DML-4117WD TV is value for money and I would recommend it since having mine for over two years now. Dvd Player is amazing. The Dvd player plays all region Dvd's and its fast forward and rewind is really fast.

Broken down 3 times since purchase 09/06. Requires rebooting at least 2/3 times per week as it consistently 'loses' channels. It broke down it was away for 3 weeks 12/06 &eventually came back OK. Broke down again but tech dept talked me through repair. gave up again 05/07 & was replaced with refurbished set 15 May. this lasted until 18 May & gave up again. Rebooting was required 3 times in those 3 days. Utter despair!

Logik LCX27WN2
27 Sep 2004

I bought the Logik LCX27WN2 TV 5 weeks ago and from day one have had problems with sound.
It's distorted and a fault with this model and Currys have had to take it back as there is a known fault with this model.
Beware of this television!

Sony Bravia KDFE-50A12U
24 Jul 2008

This Sony Bravia KDFE50A12U is great value for money. Glad I opted for this model. It is the envy of everyone who sees the TV, especially those who paid nearly as much for a smaller standard LCD. The sony Bravia engine is still the best picture producer in my opinion.
I have had this TV now for 2 years without any problems and my son plays his PS3 every day although that has caused a slight screen burn at the top, but not noticeable 90% of the time.
