    Zero 7 were great live. I was lucky enough to see the whole ensemble including Sia and Tina Dico. The setting of The Carling Academy in Birmingham was large enough although the stage was cut off at one side by a large pillar. They played with a large group of musicians including violinists giving that lovely warm sound that you hear on their albums. It was great to see all the vocalists (5 at one point) and unlike some bands I've seen live they do not lose any of their strength when they sing live. They played for around about 60 minutes before it looked like it was at an end. A lot of people started to leave and the venue lost half the audience. We'd noticed that the group hadn't really left the stage and were still hanging about so we stayed a little longer. Are we glad we did! They started played again, this time to a more intimate crowd and I think that was their ploy. They played some brand new tracks, some older ones plus they jammed a little. Really great band to see live, if you can catch them with Sia and Tina it makes it all the more special.
