Good Points: Clear resolution and good colour display.
Bad Points: The lowest angle of inclination I can get the screen to go is 10 degrees above the horizontal. Can't seem to lower it down.
General comments: Pretty good screen. It has definitely provided really good resolution and clear text, while an old Compaq monitor MV740 used to have text problems where the bottom half of the screen would display blurred text.

I have had my samsung syncmaster 750s for about ten years and has been on every day.
This moniter is very bright and has lots of colour (until its nine years old).
Very good and hard whereing monitor, therefore I well recommend this SyncMaster 753DFX.

Overall Great monitor i just switched my NEC 21 inch monitor for this i think its worth it allot better for games in my oninion, but thats my opinion i've only been playing for 9 years!

It has a user friendly menu and has lots of options.
It also has a good screen refreshing rate.[85 hertz]. One of the best monitors I've used.

The Samsung SyncMaster is one of the best monitor's I've ever owned...
At firt I thought it would be OK, then I saw the picture and I fainted.
The best picture I've ever seen, great for gaming
I bought it for the best price ever! I mean, a beautiful flat screen monitor for a good price, I recommend you buy it.

I have had this monitor now for 18 months using it almost EVERY day (10 hours or more). Never let me down, crystal clear picture with .23 DP. Contrast is sharp and whites are whiter than white. On screen display is a bit fiddly (as are most monitors). I have had NO power fluctuations and switching between modes is fast.
I really can't fault this screen as the price now is such a bargain! If you are after a decent CRT monitor then this is the one for you.

Yes, I do believe this Samsung SyncMaster 753DFX is an excellent 17 Inch monitor if not for the anti-reflection coating flecking off! A speck of the anti-reflection coating peeled off when i wiped the surface of my monitor with a smooth soft handkerchief!! Now I have an extra-annoying bright spot on my 2 month old monitor! To all 753DFX owners out there: blow the picture tube surface to clean, never touch it!

Have had my Samsung SyncMaster 753DFX 17 inch monitor for 6 months now, and must admit that it's the best monitor I have had ever. The clear colours amaze me. I have read some of the poor reviews here, and have not had any of those problems myself.

I have had this Samsung SyncMaster 753DFX 17 inch monitor for 2 years and never had a problem with it. The picture is sharp and very clear.
Looked at 5 or 6 other models and they were not even a patch on this model.
with 0.20 dpi and boy does it show it how could you ask for any more.

Bought this on the back of several reviews. Got it for a very decent price (£120) as flat screens were still too expensive last year. Disappointed with colour tinge on edge of screen although to be fair this may be down to the linksys KVM splitter Ive got - degauss doesn't fix it. Resolution and focus good. Very flat tube and good anti reflection coating.
I think I would buy a tft screen now or a more expensive crt ( and not get it delivered mail order).
One final thing I cannot find ...

-Internal power supply is junk. Maximize a white window and the size of the picture changes...
-Idiotic picture settings memory. Turn the monitor off for a few minutes and settings change. Wait a few hours and they're restored...
-Flickers like hell even at 85hz refresh rate...
-Menu system is as user friendly as a 1970 model mainframe...
-The display is not FLAT. It just has an extra glass panel above the real picture tube...

The Samsung SyncMaster 753dfx 17" monitor has 0.20 mm dot pitch but doesn't support over 1280*1024(65 hz) resolution. but there is no rival product in non-flat monitors.
