An Excellent Eook But Just A Wee Bit Too General and Goes A Bit Too Wide.

Very good background information. It's a little bit too general and sometimes wades into other areas of computers, modern technology and common software applications including office suites, PowerPoint presentations, slide shows, e-mail apps, web browsers, file transfer, how to set up or use a Web mail etc... Entertainment, online music, downloads, streaming audio, online gaming and so on and so forth. If you are really looking for a practical book on Wireless you might need to consider something else, nevertheless, it still immensely useful.

Also, could have used more actual images, screen shots etc and less animated visuals aides.

Slightly better than its small version of Wireless Networking Visual Quick Tips as it has extra wireless chapters of 14 (Improving Network Performance) and 15 (Troubleshooting Wireless Networking) plus general additional chapters 6 (Office suites, E-mail apps, Web browsers, FTP file transfer, synchronising), 7 (Types of communication software, Outlook Express, Web mail etc), 8 (PowerPoint Presentations, slide shows etc) and 9 (Online music, Yahoo! music, Weblogs or blogs, streaming audio, online gaming).

It is also bigger (23.1 x 18.8 x 1.8 cm vs 18 cmx12.7cmx1.3cm) with more content pages (289+4 vs 199+4), larger text and bigger pictures or visual aides. But it's a bit more expensive! It's a standard size book unlike its smaller cousin which has less than A5 dimensions.

In short, an excellent reading book for a study, course or training but might not be so for real hands-on on Wireless Networking.
Extremely recommnded for most people interested in computer networking (wireless or wired), perhaps?, except computer 'experts' and experienced system administrators?
