“Review of Villa Breeze, Kalkan, Turkey. June 2010. ”

★★★★★

Review of Villa Breeze, Kalkan, Turkey. June 2010.

We are a family of six and our friends are a family of four and both our two families have previously stayed in a number of villas both independently and jointly both in Turkey and various other countries around the world, so both groups are seasoned travellers butwithout a shadow of doubt we all consider this the best villa we have ever stayed at. We were all blown away by this villa and it's beautiful surroundings and we were totally looked after both by the owners David & Caroline prior to travel and their villa manager Roger during our stay, the pool guy Urtan was so helpful he delivered us fresh bread, milk, juice and any other supplies (we requested the night before) the following morning without fail our order was waiting by our back door, that was a nice touch and very much appreciated by us all.

The villa itself was very well looked after and was just like a tardis from the outside it looked an average sized villa but once your inside it was huge with ample space allowing for both our two families to relax. I'll try and list some of the features of this villa so everyone who reads our review can appreciate why we liked it so much there was a games room with a very large pool table that also had snooker balls this entertained both the kids and adults alike, there was wifi so I could hook up my laptop and our friends daughter hooked up her iphone, there must have been in excess of fifty dvd's to watch that entertained everyone, there was a large wall mounted plasma tv in the living room with satellite and UK channels, there was a number of board games for us all to play (this took a few of us back to our childhood i.e. before computers & game consuls), there was five fantastic furnished bedrooms (the beds were just huge with the most comfortable mattresses any of us had ever slept upon in a rental property) each bedroom had it's own on suite bathroom and I think they all had balconies with sea views, I've most likely missed a number of features of this property but to be truthful there's too many to remember.

We were blissfully unaware it even had it's own backup water tanks until our neighbours knocked from another villa down the road asking if our water was still off, they hadn't had any water supply for nearly two full days, I spoke to Roger and he informed us we had back water tanks with enough capacity for up to seven days, thank god for our neighbours sake the water was back on that evening.

The views from this villa were truly the best any of us have experienced from a villa, they were truly breath taking and to be truthful the pictures of both the villa and it's stunning views on the owners website do not do it justice, there beyond words and under valued as it's main selling point in my and my families opinion.

We were close enough to the town for easy access (about twenty minutes walk) but far enough away so our holiday experience was non intrusive one, we were not over looked either when we were sunbathing or whilst swimming in the private pool.

With regards to value for money this isn't the cheapest villa we have ever stayed in but it's by far the best value for money taking into consideration the holiday we all had, we would not hesitate to recommend this place to either our families or friends or in fact anyone else, we have already spoken to the owners and booked again for next year and prior to this experience we have never returned to the same villa twice so that should tell you something.

We hope this assists anyone who reads our review in choosing which villa holiday to book without fear or concern of what they may find once they arrive at there next villa holiday.

“I spent my summer holiday this year in Bodrum, Turkey...”

★★★★★

written by erena on 10/09/2009

I spent my summer holiday this year in Bodrum, Turkey and I totally loved it. People are friendly, no question about it and food is absolutely delicious. Be prepared to be stopped and talked to every time you pass by a restaurant and invited in by its owner. Tourism is very well developed with many local agencies throughout every resort to organize your activities from sightseeing historical towns to scuba diving and shopping. If you go to Bodrum, Kusadasi or Marmaris will be good to pay a visit to Ephesus, an ancient town, and Pamukale, a natural attraction of white rocks. Prices are quite variable, there are many cheap things like quick bites and drinks, nightlife could be quite expensive, local shops are quite cheap as well and local transport, however apparently not taxis, I haven't used one but I was warned. The local currency is Turkish lira but euros are widely accepted, pounds as well.
Turkey is a great holiday destination, great country with very hospitable people. Absolutely recommend.
