This refers to their invoice finance section of the business, I have just tendered my notice due to absolute terrible customer service I received and constant fee's,for which they had to agree to allow me to leave without any added costs (The only good thing they have done). “Poor and incompetent”

After over 4 months,and 60 phone calls through our agent, and offer being made, today they have without explanation decllined the offer. Very poor service. Would definately never deal with them again. We were told we could make the offer on the property and have now had to withdraw, costing almost £1000 in fees. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. I've just had exactly the same issue. Gave them all the facts at the start of the process, mortgage agreed in principle, but after many weeks of jumping through hoops and almost £1000 in fees they decline based on information they had at the outset. Absolute disgrace! Suffice to say I've started the complaints procedure and have contacted the FCA. My advice is walk away from these jokers!!!

I recently tried to take out a remortgage with Aldermore and had a complete nightmare. In a nutshell they kept on telling me they only needed a little more information a bit at a time for two/three months, they told me they required various surveys like asbestos etc which I had to pay for. Then because they were so unbelievably slow I had to pay for a new survey and to retype the offer. I am 7 weeks into the application process, and despite having an almost immediate agreement in principle, I am no further forward. It is something new every few days. Employers reference, only sent by them at week 5, saying the home report was 2 days out of date at week 4, and the latest, they want evidence of credit I have recently settled, but are unwilling to accept that as I have paid off these various accounts I can no longer access/log into them. It has cost me £1379 so far, and despite now being 3 weeks from entry I still do not know if I am getting the mortgage. I feel I am too far into the process to withdraw.

“Still waiting for my money to be returned”

on the 28th June 2013 my fixed term ended. If you do not say that you want your money returned, by default it will go into another interest bearing account. What happened with me was that I returned the form asking for the money to be paid into my account. Apparently this form was not completed correctly and the money has been tied up again. So you waited with your investment until the last minute and are blaming the bank for not opening the account quick enough? How is your disorganisation their fault? Sorry to break this to you, but you losing out on the 3 days interest is entirely your fault.

With your condescending tone, you must work for the bank. If the bank answered the phone, then there wouldn't be a problem would there. As for THREE days to action an e-mail. That's just ludicrous.

“Cash ISA very efficient Bank”

We have held a Cash ISA with Aldermore for the last 2 years and they have been excellent. There correspondence is very clear and simple, their service excellent. Even down to when we left the transfer out of our funds were completed without any hiccup and they kept us informed with short informative newsletters. “Faulty computer system”

I wanted to open an account to deposit money, but - when I got to the end of a long registration process - their system told me that it could not interact with my regular bank's. “Cannot Have Pension Paid To Aldermore Account”

DWP cannot pay State Pensions into Aldermore accounts! This is because Aldermore is NOT a Clearing Bank. “Remortgage Rip Off”

A simple additional £20K remortgage required a completely new mortgage (no doubt with penalty for pay off), fees of £690 to revalue the property, £500 to arrange (with themselves), £125 'committment fee'. all legal fees for them to be paid by me, an onerous application form that went on and on, a ridiculous % over LIBOR, Personal guarantees, and they could not even spell the name of the street. “Disasterous Experience!”

I opened up a fixed term deposit account with Aldermore just over a year ago. All was perfect, good admin process, easy to open account, great interest rate. It all went completely pear shaped however when I tried to withdraw my funds. What I didn't realise was that at the end of the term, if I didn't respond within 5 days of the maturity date they invest the funds in another fixed term account at a lower interest rate. Confusing website. Poorly trained staff. Slow to answer the phone, poor phone management system. It took me 45 minutes and to get simple questions answered and even the manager i eventualy spoke to did not understand the website.
