When anyone thinks of quality hifi they generally think of Japanese equipment. Whilst the Pioneers and Kenwoods of this world do make good stuff, when you shell out on high end British equipment you really do notice the difference. Quad make a range of hifi separates. I am lucky to work in Yeovil which means I have access to 2 independent stores. When the offer of a Quad 99 pre-amp and power amp came up (ex-display) for £1500 I leapt at the chance.
