Good Points: Excellent prequel to Bravo Two Zero describing the events leading up to the Iraq mission.
Bad Points: Does have actionless sections of prose describing a mundane lifestyle that most of us suffer.
General comments: Andy McNab, Immediate Action is a description of life as a delinquent before the Army forced him into shape, of the trials and tribulations of being a young man in the military in Northern Ireland and of the stirling effort needed to join the elite. Imagine the prospect of being shot at or blown up at any time on or off-duty and then taking yourself to the physiological and psychological limits just to have a few beers in Hereford. Madness, but I'm glad they do it.

Andy McNab, Immediate Action - An excellent book. Very intriguing. One almost feels like they have known Andy McNab for years.
