Good Points: The good thing is you told the truth and you escaped, it's so sad it had to go on for so long, you are a true survivor.
Bad Points: How a mother who can bring a child into the world and think its ok drink fueled or not, thinks she has a right to grind her own son down to the point were he was a POW, as a mother myself I can't even begin to imagine what it must have been like.
General comments: Wow, well done David, you really are a strong and brave man. Your story in The Lost Boy: A Foster Child's Search for the Love of a Family has made me feel there is always someone worse off than you, thank you for sharing your life with us, it has made such a big diffrence to me.

This story is a very sad one. From a small boy he was beaten but somehow instead of giving up he fought to have the strength to live from day to day until he was a man. It is a very sad story and the first book made me cry.- Read Guest's review (59 words)
