    We stayed at the Hotel Ares Eiffel for 3 nights and were really impressed with how clean and well decorated the hotel was and particularly impressed with how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff were - at all times (and all the staff)

    The hotel is in a great quiet location in Paris - about 10-15min walk to Eiffel tower and about a 1 minute walk to the nearest Metro if you want to explore further afield.

    The hotel amenities are quite low - which is why it is a 3-4 star rating - ie it doesnt have a gym, a restaurant (other than a breakfast room), parking etc etc - however, if you're going to Paris for a few nights you dont really need any of that.

    As really comfortable and pleasant base to explore Paris its definitely 5/5 - its actually as good as some 5 star hotels we've stayed at in other cities.

    Its a little pricey at the moment due to the £/Euro exchange rate, but I think you do get what you pay for. The only negative I'd really say is that the air con in our room wasn't the most efficient, so when the temperature outside hit 31/32 degrees it was a little warmer than we'd have ideally liked in the room - not ridiculously hot, but it would have been good if the air con had cooled it a 2-3 degrees more.

    But apart from that small point definitey, definitely recommend this small, friendly hotel to anyone going to Paris.
