Michael Page has absolutely useless bunch of recruitment consultants. They have no knowledge regarding the job market and have no clue about judging work experience of a candidate. I keep getting calls from them- oh we are just calling to see what are your career aspirations etc etc' and then they are like'' we will let you know about the opportunities etc etc''' Absolute waste of time- dont even bother applying through these dumb consultants... Last week I got another call from one guy who... (read more)

I have had contact with Michael Page a few times of the last 5 years. I can only echo the comments below regarding the impersonal service and poor communication. Either they have so much business that they don't need to worry or they have developed what they think is a good filter to identify people who, while currently in the role of candidate, might at some point be looking for a recruiter. My experience as a candidate has been so bad that I would never (ever) consider using Michael... (read more)

On my last job hunt two Michael Page agents got in touch with me for two different positions in two different places, I was pretty happy with the way they handled my situation, they both were helpful and one in particular was able to set me up two phone interviews, one of which would have most probably turned into a job, while the other agent was just a bit late to set it all up but I don't think it was her fault. Not a bad service all together. (read more)

I have signed up with alot of agencies in my time and this one has to be the worst I've ever seen! Firstly they only care about the bottom line. They don't care if they put you forward for jobs that really don't match what you are looking for. They just want butts in seats. They are completely untrustworthy! They told my current boss that I was looking for another job. I was merely browsing to see what was out there and have now made my current job extremely difficult causing relations with... I just experienced this place in the last month. What the people are saying about it below is very true! DO NOT WASTE your time with them. They don't call back and they don't care to help! If anyone ever asks me about staffing agencies I will let them know for sure that MP is the worst one and not to work with them. They are also making the company look bad as well by not responding to the candidates about the jobs and where they r in the process. (read more)

When I first went in and met the recruitment consultants at Michael Page I was quite impressed and optimistic about the likelihood of me getting a job - as the recruitment consultant told me that it would be easy for me to do so. However, by the end of my relationship with Michael Page I was left lacking confidence and feeling worthless about my abilities. A few weeks later I started to have doubts as I would often: 1. Get calls telling me about new positions and asking if I would want... (read more)

I have never in my entire life been treated as rudely as I was by a British lady working in the MICHAEL PAGE SYDNEY CBD OFFICE. This woman was rude she made me feel like a peice of dirt - she totally crushed my spirity and basically told me I would not get a job and I should stay with the company I am at. I do not go to these people to be put down while I am looking for a job - I would appreciate common courtesy especially in this stressful time. I certainly do not need to be put down - I... I've been a client of Michael Page in the past when I've been recruiting. They are very smarmy when you're their source of income, but quite the opposite when you're searching for a role for yourself! Over the past couple of months I've seen several roles in my field, for which I met all the criteria and which Michael Page were handling, advertised on websites. The first time I applied, I did so by submitting my cv through the Michael Page site. I received an anonymous "dear candidate"... (read more)

I have previously worked with Michael Page to secure jobs and have actually had 5 jobs through them, but nowadays the business is a shadow of its former self. I was asked to forward my current CV to the MP agent who was submitting it to the client and weeks later I have received no feedback, despite emails, texts and phone messages being left asking for feedback. Absolutely appalling service... to think they actually care about their applicants? The only people these recruiters actually 'help' are their own accomplices - that is, their incompetent personal acquaintances. We are merely tossed and thrown away as part of their meaningless games while they keep a façade of a legitimate business. If you do not know them personally, forget it - your chances of getting a job are zilch. (read more)

They are all arrogant, don't get the clients role description correct, will not submit perfectly good CV's. It does not matter how much effort you put into to forming a relationship they are all incentive driven. Even some day rates are inflated deliberately to attract better candidates, so don't think it's you not geeting interviews it is a C*** agency. Please accept he single star I give Michael Page as a negative star because the rating system insists I give a star.
I have applied for hundreds of vacancies with them and been rejected every time without fail despite having worked for some of the UK's leading companies. My only conclusion is their job specs must be so badly written they do not match the role. They seem arrogant and poorly qualified to meet employers needs, a disgrace to recruitment agencies.

Oh good its not just me then. They always say you didn't meet the specific criteria - so you phone and ask what it was missing from your CV and they can never tell you. Why? I wonder. Sadly most agencies are the same and you know what you probably are far better qualified and far more experienced than any of them. Michael page recruit straight out of uni-wjy -as its a telesales job -nothing more-nothing less.
