bought for 1/8 the price of my gaming pc and is so much better in every possible way. better games, cheaper games, more reliable, better graphics, more user friendly, more features and just a much nicer experience all round. also if you do buy one which i would certainly recommend first point of action should be to buy uncharted 2 because it's quite possibly the best game of this generation if not all time. however it is not perfect. there is still just not enough games. there's a lot more... i read one user who said he had issues with software and went back to the old model, my question is why? if you've been installing the software upgrades as they come out both the slim and the fat version run the same software. this is the first time i've ever heard of this type issue and have serious doubts as to whether the poster allowed the software to fully install or messed up something else. my buddy works at our local game store and he's heard no complaints at all since it came out... brought a 60gb fat ps3 version which lasted 48 hours yes 48 hours and died from red flashing light . so brought a ps3 slim 120gb model from toys r us £229 and i am very happy after updateding it from 2.85 firmware to 3.10 the ps3 dont get hot at all unlike the fat version and i been playing uncharted 2 now for hours which is ace this slim is very quiet indead apart from you hear the drive move to access the disc. out off 120gb hard drive i got 111gb to use after ripping and converting dark knight transformers 2 and bronson movie in 720p hd mp4 movies the picture was better then the blu ray disc thanks to avs 6 software and with all my pictues and mp3 i still have 77gb left . so well happy now glad i got rid off my xbox 360 thats for kids i love the ps3 . so buy a slim and get rid off xbox 360 you be amazed by the real hd power
