I go there on a regular basis because both the quality and quantity of food is great. The staff are very welcoming and polite too so it is definitely worth a visit, or two... :)

The offered meals are delicious. Such fresh ingredients and polite employees are hard to come by. The place is quite small, but this is not of great importance. I recommend trying the Indian meals without hesitation.

Bilash Indian Restaurant, is a small (15 tables approx) restaurant on the main road through Colindale. It's in a corner, so you might overlook it, which was actually the case for me for many weeks. However, if you are in the area, give it a try and you won't overlook it again!
The restaurant serves a large menu of traditional Indian favourites but with plenty of the less common dishes also. There is a big choice of both starters, main courses and side dishes.
Starters range from about £1.50 (onion bahjis x 3) to £3.50 (aloo puri or seekh kebab). Mains are mostly in the region of £5.00 other than the prawn dishes which are slightly more expensive. The portion sizes are really generous, real value for money. To give an overall idea of the costs of eating here, a 2-course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine is around £30. A 2-course meal for 5 with alcoholic drinks for 3 and non-alcoholic drinks for 2 came to £85 approx.
The food is very tasty, between myself and my partner we've tried almost everything on the menu! I would particularly recommend the lamb saag gosht (lamb and spinach in a vegetable-rich 'earthy' sauce) and my partner's favourite is the chicken tikka massala (spicy chicken pieces in a thick, creamy, smoky sauce). There is plenty of meat in every curry and I have always found it to be high quality. When taking your order, the staff are also keen to allow you to 'customise' your curry if you so wish, and ask you if you would like your meal milder than usual, spicier, creamier etc.
The staff are really friendly and remember you after a couple of visits (and your favourite drinks/food!). They are keen to ensure you are enjoying your food. The only reason I have not given the full 5 stars for service is because when the restaurant gets busy, the staff can struggle to cope and occasionally forget drinks or are slow to respond to requests. They are very apologietic when this happens though.
Overall, I think this restaurant is a real gem and always look forward to eating there, taking friends and family when I can.
