“Can't leave and keep your number.”

Having worked from home for over 30 years I transferred my business/home line to Onebill over 10 years ago. The service was ok-ish but the bills were always more than I expected from what they said I would pay. When it came to retirement and I wanted to transfer the line and number to my own name on my Sky package Onebill became the most difficult and obstructive company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Further to my review above, I have spoken to Onebill yet again and they have said that they will enable me to keep my number and they will not try to block Sky from taking it.

After six weeks of problems I am not holding my breath on this one but I will keep you posted and report what happens next here. Fingers crossed.

We run a small business from home and were with Onebill for quite a few years. They did price match a quote i got from elsewhere once but like many of us i didn't have time to keep checking. Eventually I did and foend a better deal for a third of the price! Informed Onebill we would not be renewing at the end of our contract and signed up elsewhere. “Criminals!”

We have taken over a contract with them 2 year ago and had nothin but trouble. They don't confirm anything in writing - even when they are puished. They are incompetent, unfriendly and quite simply ciminal! We have tranfered our contract 2 daus early and the wante £299.00 termination fee. Wehave now changed the termination day eaxty to the day when the contract ends and they still charge another termination fee. I decided to switch users from Onebill and so began endless e mails and telephones calls with recorded messages telling me I could be liable for a charge of £299 for leaving them. I wrote giving the required six weeks notice and spoke to them on the phone. The bombardment continued; at latest count we have received more than 30 telephone calls and many e mails. “A Perfidious company avoid”

I have finally just finished my three year contract with Onebill and had nothing but problems right from the very start. When I joined they promised me cheaper bills, all my bills were more expensive than they said they would be, they don't tell you about the hidden costs. “Rip off when want to leave! £300 for a verbal contract ”

We have been with them 6 years, got a better deal and they now have issued a £300 leaving fee with less than 2 months left on a verbal contract that my father has no recollection of said telephone call. “A communications company that doesn't communicate”

Agreed contracts and prices. Three months in, prices increase. Complain & end up with refund but an allegedly extended contract. Prices increase. Attempt to establish agreed contract end date. this company has very very high call charges and there is MUCH better companys around . they even asked for money for calls that was not made . have had alot of problems with this company

“Hold music the best part.”

So whilst at work trying to obtain the wireless password (not included on box, or changed for whatever incredible reason they could come up with)I decided to use their 'qwerky' text messaging service which ofcourse had no chance of working so ventured to speak to one of these human beings on the other line. Here comes a painful half an hour wait. “Worst Conmen In Telecoms (Yes that bad)”

Not only is the line the worst quality and most glitchy line I have ever had the displeasure of using, they are also absolute conmen. Tried to leave them and they claimed a previous manager of our depot had only just signed up for a new two year contract. Have now spent 4 months chasing them for proof which is not forthcoming. Onebill Telecom are probably the worst company i have ever had to deal with lost count of the number of hours and number of people i've spoken to on top of the engineer no shows, They seem to be not interested in the fact that i have not had any broadband for 10 weeks but happily take £45 + VAT per month for the privilege. “Rip-Off”

Got charged £7.11 each for 5 calls to 118118 when our computer was out of action, we did not agree to be put through, this was just getting a number. Each call lasted less than a minute. This is the biggest rip-off ever. When I spoke to customer services, they just said that's what it costs and that's it. There is no mention on their website what such calls will cost.
