Richmond Station, right in the heart of Richmond, could do with a bit of an facelift but in terms of actually functioning as a station it works perfectly well. Given how busy the station gets during rush hour it never feels overly crowded, there's plenty of room on the platforms and the staff are unusually friendly which helps if you've accidently left your travel card at home.
