“Horrid Machine”

Purchased this machine (Plasma Cool PC-14E) in 2010 from Canadian Tire for about $700. We used the machine for 2 1/2 months and then put it away for the season. When we turned it back on the following May, the compressor made grinding noises and it was very loud. My husband contacted the manufacturer and we were told there was a known defect with the compressor. After 8 months we had a replacement unit free of charge. Horrid Machine and Extremely Horrible, rude Customer Service from Plasma Cool Company. Bought this machine in July of 2011 from Canadian Tire for $790.99 and then put it away and took it to use it for the summer 2012 and after one week of using it, this machine made a huge loud noise and burning smell and stopped working. I contacted customer service, and the front line customer service is absolutely rude and I'm still waiting to see what they are going to do. I do not recommend buying anything from this company, bad, bad customer service.

bought this hoping it would be better than the siemens, but no it was even worse.. very loud (not "quiet" as advertised), be warned: the cooling power is not as advertised on most websites, Amcor make their specs sound higher by providing non-standard measurements of cooling capacity. Cooling power is very low. It's not as pictured anywhere, in fact the unit is large and bulky, with a very bulky part round the back that is not shown on any photos. WARNING BEWARE I purchased my plasma cool in June 2010. Returned it June 28th they received July 2. Today is August 2nd. I had selected the 3 payment plan. They charged the 2nd payment to my card after they received the unit back and today another charge. So they have the unit and $600.00 of my money. I called today and they could not talk to me as it was a Canadian Holiday. They could only take a message. I called back and Jennifer called me back. Funny thing, she could sell me a unit today... Additional info on my review: The air conditioner blows less cod air than my 12500btu unit from GE blows. It could not cool down and keep cool a 200 Square foot room. This is why I returned the unit. I am filing a complain with the Texas Attorney General I hope he will make them stop advertising here in the state.
