This is a lovely little pub very close the Richmond Park. It is a little hard to find as it is down a side road and covered in the summer in flowers, however I think this adds to the charm of the place. Very friendly staff who do an excellent job of remembering names and if you go in often enough your drinks too I'm sure. Full of locals who were very friendly and welcoming as I obviously looked like a new comer! Great selection of cask ales and was given a full recommendation of what to have... (read more)

The Park Tavern was a poor choice for a drink. After visiting Richmond we left by Kingston Gate and found The Park Tavern 400 yards aware in New Road. From the exterior it looked very inviting with some character. However once inside it was a different story. It was really run down some of the seating was deplorable with large amounts of wooden benches and the paintwork was grotty. Park Tavern - This traditional pub is gradually being allowed to be run down. The seating some of which is wooden benches is appalling. The toilets in my opinion are not far off being condemned absolutely awful. they have even continually increased the price of beer to make it the most expensive in the area.
