    We hired a Ford minibus with this company for 8 days. We had to pay cash the whole sum and a deposit £300.The car did not have a valid tax badge so we got a penalty £60 at the first car park. We phoned the company to let them know. The car also did not start at times. On the day of the return we tried to phone the company since morning to let them know we would be late but no one answered. So we remebered the guy had texted us and sent him a text letting him know the delay. He wrote back it was OK. We met at a car park at Edinburgh airport. He checked the car, everything was OK. Then he gave us back only £155 from the £300. We asked why - he said there was £20 penalty, £10 something else we did not understand and £115 payment for an extra day. We were delayed only 3 hours and had informed him. So we said we agreed with the penalty but not an extra day hire. Then we said as he insisted on that extra day we would keep the car till the next day. He said the car was already rented for the next day - that means he had the next day paid twice. We could not believe his behaviour. Also the price he asked for the extra day was unreasonably high /we hired the car for about £65 a day!!!/. It was a rip-off one would not expect in a civilized country. We are going to come to Scotland again on regular basis in future but we will never hire from that company again.

    Booked and paid for an automatic car from Edinburgh Car Hire . Was given a manual with promise of change either later that day or the next. Not changed no answer to phone calls. One call in 6 days from the company and they are refusing to refund the difference in the price - not a lot of money as I kept car an extra day, but their customer service is non existent and they take cash payments so not a lot of come back.
    Am taking it further but have learnt my lesson from now on book on a credit car ...
