    Good Points: Excellent sound & picture quality


    Bad Points: Looks a bit cheap


    General comments: The Toshiba SD-5109 has proved an excellent introduction into DVD without any problems on Region 2 DVDs. It is multi-region, and there have been lip-sync problems on some Region 1 discs. Aside from that, it's excellent!

    I bought this unit as a replacement for a Sony DVP-550. The difference in video and sound quality is stunning. The added cost of this unit makes it unreasonable for many. I got it for $650 as a floor model and so far I am totally, extremely, pleased with my decision.
