    Having bought a Sony Vaio VGN Z21MN which I have been using for the last 9 months all I can say in a nutshell is that it's been fantastic.
    The main good points are the amazingly bright screen which is admired and commented on by friends and colleagues a lot of whom use apple mac's so them saying its good is high praise indeed. Also the overall weight is very impressive around 1.45kg which makes it very portable, so gone are the days of getting a tired arm when you have to carry it around. I also get on very well with the scrabble type keyboard even with my largish hands, and it's always a joy to use due to feeling and sounding solid whenever you press the keys.
    Under normal usage I find that the standard life battery lasts around 4.5 hours although you can select a stamina mode, but this makes the screen very dark and no good if you are outside.
    I have only ever used this laptop for work but it copes very well with all sorts of demanding programs including Photoshop, it also boots up very quickly too when you turn it on.
    The screen is very thin and to begin with I was worried that I might break as it does flex slightly if you don't move it holding it centrally, but so far no problems.
    There is a slight noise from a fan that is constantly working but it really isn't that obtrusive, and I suppose it helps to keep the palm rests no more than tepid in temperature which is good.
    Overall a very good laptop that looks and feels great, and offers a lot to people who need a powerful yet portable computer.
